Old Style Get Together

I was just wondering if anyone felt like having an OS get together later in the year? I think there was a small one in York a little while ago and I know they organise them from 'The Arms'

I was thinking, maybe October ish? Way past the holiday season and not too near Xmas. We could meet centrally - either in the country or wherever most people would be coming from. We could also do a bit of 'swap-shop'-ing. ie anyone can have my old breadmaker or slow cooker, rather than it go to waste or get 50p for it at a boot sale (unless I've flogged them at a sale by then :D)

Maybe we could get Martin or Andrea or other peeps from MS Towers to join us for a vino and a slice of HM cake :D

I think it's a great idea, I had wondered about local get togethers, there are so many of us reading old style, there must be enough from most parts of the country to have local get togethers (without too much expense), but I'd definately be up for a nationl meet.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

I would love to, but live so far away from anywhere civilised - that and the fact I will already have been away at least twice without the family this year already - I might be pushing it.

Although I will look at again if it fits in with our school holidays... (but don't work around me as far as dates are concerned as it will still be unlikely)
