Yes, this is how it would work, once you top up with VoIPStunt you would get 120 days of free calls to the UK, but limited 300 mins per week.
You could indeed use that €10 topup you made to pay for calls to mobiles.4everonline wrote:but can you pls confirm to me that if i top uo EURO 10 with voipstunt.com then i get 120 days of free mins to Uk landlines and checp call rates to mobile fones ? right ?....cheers mate...that was a lot of help...bless
You will get 120 days of free calls to the UK landlines, capped at 300 mins per week, if you use more than 300 mins per week then the call costs at 1c/min comes from your credit.
I wouldn't call VoIPStunt calls to UK mobiles cheap, VoIPCheap.com are better rates to UK mobiles, but you only get 90 free days with VoIPCheap, but if you don't call mobiles too often then 120 days VoIPStunt may be the one to go for. Saying that VoIPStunt is only 4p/min dearer to UK mobiles than VoIPCheap. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
4everonline wrote:i think i am lost again...lets say i top up EU 10 with voipcheap.com or voipstunt.com...right ?...now, voipcheap.com i get 90 days, 300 mins per week (presumably sun to sat). ..sure, if i use more than 300 mins in a week i pay for the extra mins from the credit i have.right ? After that 90 days, i do not use my credit, i still have Euro 10, i get another 90 days..right ? what happens if i never make a paid call...how long will my credit remain ?
Yes you get 300 mins per week, to use any day in the week.
If you make more than 300 mins in that week then from your €10 top-up your call charges will come from at 1c/min.
After 90 / 120 days even if you have only used the service for free calls and still have €10 in your account, if you want another 90 / 120 days of free calls you need to top-up again with another €10, therefore having €20 in your account.
You could decide not to top-up and continue to make calls, but they won't be free they will be 1c/min taken from your credit.
If you were to never make a paid for call then your credit will last forever, but after 90 / 120 days you lose being able to call certain countries (including UK) for free, so if you didn't make a paid for call you wouldn't be using the service after 90 / 120 days, so the credit would just be sitting there.
It's a bit like mobile phones where if you top up so much you get free texts stop topping up and you don't get any more free texts, but you still have credit and can use it on chargeable calls / texts. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
i get that now...i was asking for the world...hehehe..i thought once i top-up with voipstunt.com it lasts for ever and i can make free calls for ever (300 mins a week) but then i do have to topup EU10 every 120 days..so in 8 months time i would have topped up EU 20 and still not used any credit from EU 20 (as i wudnt make paid calls) so the money (EU 20) gets stuck with voipstunt.com unless i make paid calls...0

codetown wrote:Is there any of you guys with a VoipCheap.co.uk UK geographical VOIP-IN number (such as 02-xxx)? If so, do you have an extra/expired credit/unused credit account and willing to sell your whole account to me (you can of course change all your data and put fakes contact details before passing it over)? I can pay any (eventual) residual credit you might have plus I will add a couple of pounds for your kindness.
I know that some people will not use this anymore now that UK numbers are not free, so might be a good chance for you to switch provider without loosing out (some others of the Finarea family still offer free UK calls).
What I am after is a UK real Voip-In number with the same provider I use for Voip-Out calls, so to be able to use the same PC/equipment.
Unfortunately the account I already have with VoipCheap.co.uk does not have a uk geographical number, so that is not good for many callers!
Please contact me if interested or if you know how to get a geographical UK number with VoipCheap.
Try voipcheap.com not .co.uk. When I did it, you get a geographical number and calls to UK landlines [and many other countries] remain free.

They no longer offer UK Geo numbers anymore.0

Watch out voipcheap.co.uk doesn't offer any free calls to UK landlines any more. Others still do (including voipcheap.com)0

Does anyone know if you get ANY number for incoming calls with voipcheap or the sister company I'm using (https://www.freecall.com)
I know I can use https://www.sipgate.co.uk for an incoming number, but I wanted to be able to forward the number if I was offline from freecall
Thanks

Hi BexTech
Thanks for the quick response. I had a look at https://www.voiptalk.org but they seem to say that it cost £1.99 per month for an incoming number on some parts of their site. I will continue to look into it.
When you joined voipstunt (another sister company or freecall) did they send you an incoming number as soon as you bought some credit, or did it take a day or 2? Perhaps I'm being impatient and they will mail me my number shortly.
Thanks
