  • I have signed up with voip stunt too so I,ll just switch between them for the cheapest one... I wouldnt have minded much if I had any notice except by noticing the credit had disappeared... Another REALLY annoying thing was that they say they dont support sip configuration and recommend voipdiscount .. when you get there, they say exactly the same thing...! I bought the sip unit in ebay and all that was needed was to reset it to factory defaults and put in the server names...

It has already been mentioned a number of times before see http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=276274&highlight=freecall
which leads to other postings. It does pay to search before posting.;) :D

Their are a number of these companies in the group if you are interested in this sort of thing. EG: https://www.voipdiscount.com , https://www.voipbuster.com , https://www.internetcalls.com , to name but three.

Just a quick observation - https://www.freecall.com seems SO identical to https://www.voipcheap.com. Ts&Cs and pricing seem to be the same.

That's because they are owned by the same company.

I am so gutted! And stupid! Between the choice of signing with voipcheap.com and voipcheap.co.uk, I have signed up with the latter last week. And I do really regret it. I wasn't aware of the 5p connection charge in the first place and then the uk landline is indeed 1p a minute. I am furious and want to complain, but they don't even offer you the chance to write to them. So folks I am writing to warn you about my mistake!

A connection charge is usually only added if you use the service as a web call back service that is you enter your landline number and the destination number and you let the system call you and then connect you to your destination, if you use it as VoIP from your end then you just pay the per minute rate or free if calling a free destination.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Is there any of you guys with a VoipCheap.co.uk UK geographical VOIP-IN number (such as 02-xxx)? If so, do you have an extra/expired credit/unused credit account and willing to sell your whole account to me (you can of course change all your data and put fakes contact details before passing it over)? I can pay any (eventual) residual credit you might have plus I will add a couple of pounds for your kindness.

I know that some people will not use this anymore now that UK numbers are not free, so might be a good chance for you to switch provider without loosing out (some others of the Finarea family still offer free UK calls).
What I am after is a UK real Voip-In number with the same provider I use for Voip-Out calls, so to be able to use the same PC/equipment.
Unfortunately the account I already have with VoipCheap.co.uk does not have a uk geographical number, so that is not good for many callers!

Please contact me if interested or if you know how to get a geographical UK number with VoipCheap.
