AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Well phone didn't arrive.. I phoned them today to ask where it was, and they said they weren't sure and couldn't give me a tracking number as their systems had apparently crashed.. Then when I got home from work, I had an email from them saying that my order has now been cancelled and I should receive a refund within 48 hours..
Why send me an email saying it's been dispatched when it clearly hasn't?
Really annoyed now! :mad:0 -
To be fair to them, I received my Orange San Francisco in the middle of April just two working days after they received my payment.
It does seem that they have some issues with their stock checking; saying the item has been dispatched when they couldn't even find the stock is terrible. I suppose as long as you get the refund, it isn't as bad as losing your money outright.
So maybe I have been one of the lucky ones where there were no issues at all with my order.0 -
Yeah, if I get my refund I won't be too bothered I suppose.. It's just annoying that I had to contact them, and they didn't tell me over the phone what the issue was.. just sent me an email with no explanation of what the issue was!
Oh well.. I've found the phone for the same price elsewhere now.
Update:
Refund arrived (albeit, £10 less than I originally paid so I need to contact them about it, and no doubt spend more than that on their premium rate line!)
Ordered the phone now through another company called gummmobile on eBay.. These seem to be the real deal, communication has been fantastic and their prices are very low! Expected delivery is today so my fingers are crossed! Their eBay shop seems to be MUCH lower in price than their website though, not sure why this would be?0 -
hi mcalli2008, glad you got your Nexus S finally!
. I am looking for one as well...I will check the ebay vendor you referred.
15 minutes back I saw prepaymania using Google search and before placing an order for Nexus S, checked out the reviews and hit this page. Now I am going to put on hold and try to find a different vendor...0 -
If this is the same prepaymania as on ebay then I have ordered several times from them for my husbands work - quantities of accessories and have never had one problem with them - totally the opposite - next day delivery and no issues (would gladly pm my ebay id to anyone if they wanted to see feedback rather then thinking I am associated with them!)0

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! bought a phone from them, it had a fault on it, sent it back, promised a replacement within 48 hours and then spent a week speaking to various people being told various lies that my replacement handset had been dispatched when it hadn't, and finally got the replacement.
That had the same fault on it. Told them I wanted to send it back for a refund as i'd had enough and basically got no communication from them. Ended up having to threaten to take them to the small claims court to get a refund. Its not so much the fault with the phone that bothered me as the fact that they have obviously never heard of customer service - don't reply to emails, promise to call you back and don't, tell lies about where in the process of logging in/ testing/ dispatch etc your phone is.
From my experience, they're fine to buy from as long as you have no problems with the goods that you receive. If you do, you're stuffed as once they have your money they're not interested!0 -
I've ordered a couple of cheap phones and some accessories from PrePayMania. My purchases arrived quickly and in good order. I'd fight shy of ordering high value items from them, though, as it seems they're a pain when something goes wrong.0

I've never dealt with them before, but their prices seem to beat everybody elses! I hope everything goes smoothly, as their prices are almost better than getting a phone on upgrade where i am!
I'll let you know the outcome when/if it arrives
Hi mcalli2008. Prepaymania as you know do have the Nexus s at an extremely competitive price, to my knowledge though we have not been out of stock of these at all and Im not sure why you would receive a dispatch confirmation as these are automated on dispatch. I appreciate that you may have bought this handset somewhere else now but I would really like to look into this problem so that I can ensure that it doesn't happen again for other users. Extremely sorry that on this occasion we were unable to fulfil your order and I hope that at a later date we may again be given the opportunity to supply you with a Handset or Accessories.
If you would be so kind as to ticket Prepaymania through the usual ticket system and add MSE-Support within the message body it will ensure that the ticket comes direct to me.
Once again I apologise for any inconvenience caused.0 -

Hi madaboutrugby
First of all thank you for using Prepaymania in the first place. I would like to look into this problem in more detail though and maybe come back to you directly with my findings. I appreciate you may have purchased a new handset since this problem, but it is important for us to streamline our customer service operation and if there are flaws in it which looking at your post above there certainly seems to be..I would like to put them right and give our customers a five star end to end service.
Thank you for posting this and bringing it to my attention. If you would be so kind as to send me the sale details through our normal ticket system on prepaymania and in the message mody add MSE-Support, this ticket will come to me and I can look into the matter personally.
I apologise for any inconvenience you may have experienced using prepaymania and I can assure you we take our customers experience of using prepaymania very seriously and would like to look into this sale in more detail.0
