I recently ordered a Samsung g600 in silver, 2 days later the phone arrived but it was purple, i phoned someone called DAVE in customer services who organised a courier and had it collected the same day for return, i was a little suspicious of the return address as it was different from the address on the invoice so rang their customer services number the following day to see if it had arrived, Dave had to ring his returns dept and confirmed that it had, he told me that the correct silver phone was being sent out that day(Friday) and lo and behold on Monday afternoon the phone arrived, as the phone was only purchased recently as a gift i have yet to see how it performs,by the way i purchased from Prepaymania through Amazon.0

Dreadful customer service, supplied a faulty phone which has ruined two batteries (the one that was in it and I new one I bought in case it was the battery). Wont reply to emails has not refunded money.0

Ordered a phone from t-mobile, it didn't arrive as it wasn't in stock - not that they told me that until I contacted customer support after it was suppossed to have been delivered. Looked around the web and found prepaymentmania, the phone (W595) was £12 cheaper and in a better colour so ordered from them. Arrived 2 days later by 1st class registered post, brand new, well packed, and with all the kit.
Alas t-mobile charged my credit card for a phone they didn't have in stock, they cancelled the order but didn't flag the card for refund even after a telephone cancellation and an email cancellation. 10 days now and still no refund from t-mobile, they processed it for refund today but apparently it can take up to 21 days from now.
Next time I need a phone I'll avoid t-mobile and buy from prepaymentmania instead and very probably pay less for it; don't know what preypaymentmania customer support is like but it can't be worse than t-mobile.0 -

Don't what ever you do order a mobile phone or anything else from a website called prepaymania .co.uk before you read the small print - you have 7 days to return the product if incorrect after 7 days they will not take back the products- I got caught out on this! avoid these guys & buy from a shop!0

I agree with many of the other posters here DO NOT USE PREPAYMANIA!!!!
THEY ARE DODGY!!!!!
I ordered a Nokia phone back in November- stated brand new, 12 month manufacturers warrenty etc. It arrived and in the unsealed box but it looked fine. It broke 4 months later. I took it to a Carphone warehouse nokia repair centre as it should be repaired free based on the manufacturers warrenty. Well I found out it was NOT within the manufacturers warrenty so they could not repair it! I also tried sending it directly to nokia as i did not want to send it back to prepaymania as they now seemed pretty fishy. Anyway same refusal to fix from nokia so I then had to return it to prepaymania. I sent it recorded delivery. They recieved it on the 17th June. 6 weeks later i still have not received it. I sent an email 4 weeks ago chasing it up and they sent a curt reply saying it can take upto 4 weeks for repairs. I have just sent another email chasing up my phone and I am interested to see how they respond... hmmm lost in the post perhaps??
Does anyone know what specific consumer rights I have if they have sold me a phone wrongly stating it to be within warrenty when it was not and now are not returning it within their stated timeframe??
Arrrgh! blood is boiling over this!0 -

I have the same problem: they sold me SE handsfree and no manufacturer warranty. Be wary !!!
I asked folk in consumeractiongroup but it looks mission impossible. No such law:mad:0 -
For Rado___ and bellyfester
A company supplying an electronic item to a consumer must offer a 12 months warranty with it. This however does not have to be the manufacturers warranty it can be their own warranty. The supplier of your item will pay themselves for any warranty repairs or indeed replace the item. In fact the sales of goods act states that suppliers should issue the warranty of products to the consumer and any warranty repairs should the consumer wish to, should be handled by the supplier rather than the manufacturer (although logically it is normally faster to go to the manufacturer direct for warranty repairs).
Having used prepaymania myself and indeed having used their repair facilities I had no problems at all with them.
Hope this helps0 -
I got a Samsung pre-pay phone off them about a year ago. Came like the next day or the day after, all brand new and boxed. Everything worked right away and I had no major problems.
The only small problem I had is I didn't get the security code (which I needed to turn off Orange Safeguard). When I emailed them asking for it (just a few weeks ago actually), they said they just got the phones and never set one, so they didn't know. They gave me a number and told me to ring Orange, but I just got a new phone so I didn't bother. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I yesterday received a prepay LG Viewty ku900i for 75GBP (including 5GBP cashback via topcashback), free delivery from prepaymania. A superb deal given that the next cheapest I could find was about 110GBP including delivery. No warranty card came with the phone but the order dispatched email says there is a 12 month manufacturers warranty and 7 day returns policy (10% admin charge):
Please note your handset is Brand New and as such comes with a 12
month manufacturing warranty, should you find that the your handset
goes faulty from a manufacturing fault within the first 12 months you
can send the handset back to Prepaymania, and we will forward to the
manufacturer for repair on your behalf (Usually takes approx 2-3
weeks from the day you send back to it actually arriving back at your
door) or alternatively you can send to any repair center across the
country, as this is a manufacturer warranty they will all be happy to
repair for you providing you provide proof of purchase. Please note
however your handset has been sold to you locked to the network that
was stated on your order. Should you wish to unlock this handset it
will void your warranty with the manufacturer.
Outside of this warranty we also offer a seven day cancellation
policy. Should after you have received your handset, decide you do
not require it. You may return for credit providing the phone has not
been used and all boxed content, sim card, charger etc are returned
with the phone. Please note however a 10% administration fee is
applied for this service, and we can not refund for carriage charges.
We hope that you enjoy your purchase and the service that you have
received from Prepaymania, and we hope to be assisting you with
future purchases.
Once again thank you for choosing Prepaymania.0
