right I had an online buying urge! but its my birthday soon so I put everything I think I want on my wish list
I just watched a really lovely film and now feel all miserable deeply single and generally yuck. now is the time I would normally shop to feel better.
sighs. I want a clean house and a boyfriend.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
ive been bad!
ready for the justification??????
I needed a white shirt so got one from P**mark for £2.50 - only problem is that when i got to the checkout the other things that i happened to be holding took the total up to £9
Also left hubby at home (so that i could shop in peace) and had to pick him up the paper - while i was in there i saw the nice new issue of Eve at £3.40 and bought that.
Then had to get some rolls for work tomos and bought cakes too £1
Therefore me leaving the house to spend £2.50 (hubby gave me the paper money) ended up with me spending a total of £13.40
but 12 months ago i would have been coming back £40 lighter so im not that bad.................. am i?0 -
good evening roomies
well will have to fail march's challenge - am going to have to take £20 out of bank for next week - dont know where the £80 has gone over the last 2 weeks!!! on the plus side get paid 2 weeks tomorrow and its the first money I have had to take out! have moved £700 into saving account this weekend so am still pleased.
i think next month I need to set a more realistic goal!

Have updated numbers, so have a look at the OP. Sooooo sorry if I've missed anybody. Welcome to all our newbies. We are pleased you've joined us. I'm not quite as scary as people are trying to make out!
Have just read back over the posts I've missed, and haven't we been all over the place!! I'm not going to comment on all of them, just one;
Jennyred; I'm not surprised you fell off the wagon: I thought £80 for the month was really harsh on yourself. The important thing is you tried, and now you know what's reasonable to expect. BIG 'well done' for having that £700 to put into your savings - that's an amazing accomplishment!
Well, as far as I'm concerned I haven't spent compulsively this month, and I think I'm doing better than I was last month. I have £238 in my bank to last me until 25th march - £50 of which is going down the bank charges drain (£5 a day for exceeding ny OD limit *OUCH*). I'm so desperate for that not to happen again this month! That leaves £178 - oh, minus £49 food shopping yesterday. That brings me to £129 to last 15 days. Surely that's easily do-able? This is where my problems start; in my head I can hear "Ooh, I've got a little bit more money this month, what can I spend it on?". HELP ME FELLOW SPENDAHOLICS!!!! I can feel myself going down again, and I was doing so well!LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j
