I just have to share this exciting development!!!

My youngest DD who turned 3 two weeks ago, decided last night that she wanted to wear pants instead of nappies!!!! I've been suggesting it to her for well over a year now, but she wasn't interested. She had a couple of hours before bed where she wasn't wearing a nappy, and she kept taking herself off to the toilet. I put her in a nappy for sleeping in, and this morning she still wanted to wear pants. OMG I can't believe it!
  • Good morning everyone

Haven't posted for a few days (being half-term, I seem to have even less time than usual. ). Haven't caught up with what's going on with whom but there definitely seems to be quite a few in needs of :grouphug: so ((((hugs)))) to those who are poorly, have poorly littlies or DHs, bad news, feeling down, etc.

DS and I both had clinic appointments yesterday. He got told off for not using his preventive inhaler enough and I got told off for not losing "enough" weight. Nurse is lovely, really. However, I am now on tablets for my diabetes and have been given a diet that I need to follow for the next few weeks. Only trouble with the tablets is that they can cause the runs until you are used to them. I found that out last night. Just glad I'm not at the office till tomorrow. Anyway, it has spurred me on and I have been on the exercise cycle and done 200 sit-ups this morning. As its another beautiful day, we will definitely go out for a long walk too.

BM is on and washing basket is empty. :j Have beef mince defrosted in the fridge so need to decide what I will do with that for dinner today.

Had a look at my bank statements and I have spent over £300 this month at the supermarket.   Now, I know that some of that was clothes at Sainsbugs for DS and I also got a couple of Christmas pressies but I was horrified. So, I am now considering home delivery. Anyone got any preferences or advice??

Time I had something to eat now so, have a tremendous Tuesday one and all. xx Oh, and I must remember to phone Tesco and register a formal complaint. DS still doesn't have a bed to sleep in.

  • Morning everyone :) I hope everyone is well on this freezing cold morning!

Today is my DS' 4th birthday, so we're pressie opening and having fun before we go out to a soft play area for lunch. I can't believe my baby is 4 though! Where does the time go?!

DD is happy as her school is closed due to a burst pipe/flood - which means 2 extra days so far added on to her half term hols (they were off last week) and she can join in the fun today!

Not looking forward to going out though, it's freezing out there and like pea soup!
Been comping since January '08. Wins so far....NOTHING!:rotfl:*UPDATE* June - won a Bratz doll for my little girl :D

    Mmmmm pea soup....
Sorry was just thinking of what to do for dinner and it might be soup ;) (Think more likely to be lentil and carot soup tho...)
Have a cracking headache this morning... Typical!
Listed a load of books on green metropolis last night so hoping some of them move...
Going to list stuff on E-bay today and try and tidy my kitchen... just hope this headache goes away!

    Morning all

Mr and Mrs PP - Sounds like you're both in the wars - hope you're both better soon.

Scuzz - Well done on the interview - hope it goes well.

Justamum - Whoohoo - no more nappies - will save you a fortune!

Vangello - Happy birthday to your little one - no idea where the time goes but I'd like it back.:D

Hugs to the rest of you.

Very frosty here today - looks very pretty (because I don't have to go out in it). DH is away from tomorrow until Friday night with work, we could go along and sneak in on the expenses but to be honest I'm looking forward to having the bed to myself for a night or two :D (always sounds like a good idea but then I miss him far to much)

Nothing planned for today, a general swish and swipe, need to change my bed as I didn't get round to it at the weekend and might even take the girls out for a long muddy walk later. (I said might...)

HM pizza for tea - going to try and do stuffed dough balls too - sounds messy!

Hope you all have a great day.

Slept in untill 8.15 :D I love school holidays, DD and dog are still in bed, she could sleep for England that one.

We went to Matalan yesterday, got myself two pairs or jeans which I was desperate for, I live in jeans, and I was down to one decent pair and one with a hole in around the bottom area, which was getting bigger every day :o Got DD a new pair of jeans as well, she is growing up and not out any more iykwim, she is a size 10, lucky thing  .

We are off to the beach today for a walk, Amie my DD is very interested in photrography too and she wants to take some beach type photos, so we will take a picnic lunch and the cameras, my OH gave me a really good camera last year and I got a new lens for Xmas so will try that out.

Not sure what we are having for tea yet, but we will not starve.
Oh forgot so say I put my hand down the side of the sofa yesterday and ripped my finger open on a spring that was sticking out, its gone in hooked itself on and come out, so i had to unhook myself, there was blood everywhere and my god did it hurt, but there is hardly a mark there today  will have to get OH to fix it would not want a child to do the same.

Well I have waffeled on a bit today, I think WM is about to finish, so will go and hang it out.

Pen Pen I think its your interview today good luck xx

Hugs to Mr + Mrs Pen Pin xx

Hilstep nice to 'see' you xx

Happy birthday to master Vangello xx

Hope everyone esle is ok xxxx

    Morning all

Well i have taken the day off as exoh and dd18 did not really see to have much of a plan about what to do with dd's bf. The sort of plan was to go to the flat and get the keys off him - taking her son and my youngest dd  . she has threatening texts from him but still won't call the police. I am just making her do the basics as she doesn't sleep or eat properly - last night we made a sort of camp in the living room and sat around chatting in sleeping bags - she was asleep by 2am which is an improvement .... wish i could say the same for me.

Morning all, hugs for those that need them

 hilstep, nice to see you
Justamum, you must be really chuffed!
    hugs for stefejb

Long day ahead - I have so many little daft things to do I don't know where to start - yesterday was like a role-play game here - I couldn''t complete x task until I'd borrowed y bit of equipment from w person who had to be bribed with cake and the magic beans and seek permission from the wizard on high - who doesn't work Monday afternoons... I hate these types of days, they are just so unproductive. I've made a pact with myself that I have to spend at least 30 mins a day working on my escape plan, so today I have to start making my CV sound more appropriate.

Bought eggs on the way home and promptly smashed four of then, so was baking until 2 am. Still, we now have orange cake and fruit cake which saves me a job later in the week.

Right - having escaped from my morning meeting, I'm going to find some coffee! I might wake up then! have a good day all, cel x

  • Morning all.
Woke up this morning to snow:eek: and it is still coming down.

Awful sleep last night, could not get my leg comfortable, and the cast felt tight, eventually dropped off at 3am, then DH burst in the room at 8am to show me the snow:rolleyes:

Hoping to finish off the bedroom today, and 2 loads to go in WM. Having haircut at 1, should be fun getting out of the house if it is still snowing!! DD is out for the day with her step mum shopping.

Hugs to those who need them.
