Morning all...........((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need them......

Nasty morning, cold and foggy, fog not going to lift accoring to the forecast, so no walk for us today!!!

I have taken the ironing board out and its propped up by the sitting room door, so I have to do the ironing.................will be staring when I get off the computer.

Not a lot going on here, hope to get some sewing done this afternoon, have a play mat to put the last border on and press before I layer it up and machine quilt it..............another project for the craft stall, have also started a table centre for Christmas, made from the offcuts from the table runners I made, not enough to make another runner, but table centres are different.

OH has started wearing long johns in bed says that his legs are not so stiff in the mornings......what ever rings your bell dear!!!

The kitchen in the apartments is finished, the elctrician was here yesterday, we are waiting for the chaps to come and carry the tables etc up to the upstairs store...............means we have to get them back everytime we need to use them......no where to keep them downstairs now.........oh well....not my worry.

Right off for a cuppa and start the ironing....................

    Edit

Marie......congrats on the new baby, forgot to say I slept much better last night, did not wake unil 8.45am this morning, although I was aware that I roused during the night.

We have the residents meeting tomorrow.................looks like being fun...........Lairy lizzie is still clearing the leaves from the garden. Problem, she has stacked the bags of leaves infront of one of our disbaled residents shed where he keeps his scooter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I see a problem there, the gentleman concerned does not pull his punches............wish I was a fly on the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Hi redruby,

It's an Irish name and it's pronounced eefa. Any Aoifes I've ever known have been lovely people.

    Good morning everyone.

Thankyou so much for all your well wishes yesterday and today. They brought a tear to my eye. Its such a warming feeling to know that people care.(After the bad circumstances that i needed well wishes it has restored my faith in human nature) Sounds sloppy but thats how i feel right now at this minute.:o

Sorry all but i have to use a :j .. I didnt have to have a bone graft :j
They have removed the metal plate from my ankle and side of my leg. But have left the pin from my ankle to my knee in place. So now hopefully after 18 months i can start to get a little of my life back. Its going to be a longhaul but now i can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Today i am very very sore and back to using 2 crutches. Yesterday was a very long day and i keep falling asleep :rotfl: must be all the morphine.

Congratulations to marie on the safe arrival of your new DGD.What a beautiful name. Thankyou to pink also for pronunciation

Hugs to anyone who needs or just wants a hug today.
Hope your DD finds the strength to make a stand for herself and child stefjb its very hard to try to take a back seat and let her sort things in her own time. I am sure that with your love and support this will come and she will do what she feels is right. Very hard being a mum and having to stand back.

    Hugs to those feeling poorly

I havent read through the post just scanned through quickly. Going to go and have a read now.

Not sure whats on the menu today. H is cooking  So probably a takeaway. Knowing his cooking its probably the best option ;)

Thankyou again so much for all the well wishes.
furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:

  • Congratulations to meanmarie and family. Aoife is a lovely name. Hope the whole family is well (some men can get a wee bit upset that no-one ever asks how they are. ;) )
Rage in Eden :hello: nice to see you back on the OS board again.
Justamum well done to your DD!
Hilstep ((((hugs)))) to you. Take care.

Not got too much done today. Dishes are washed. Bread is made. Living room tidied. That's about it. Need to buy some more fruit as DD is eating it as though it is going out of fashion.

So far so good, all the cleaning is now finished :D

I put a thermometer in the garden earlier as i have never seen frost like this since i was small and i`ve just fetched it in at 12 o`clock, it has warmed up a bit but the reading is minus 3

I am now plucking up courage to take the hounds for a good walk and then i will have a nice hot bath to warm up.
Plans for this afternoon are to sort out the mail and bank accounts and then off into the kitchen to make some goodies, i wanted to make bakewell tart but have no almonds so i think i`ll try the impossible pie instead.

Congratulations on the new arrival meanmarie - hope you get some rest later.
    Catch up later

    Hi all !
After yesterdays de-cluttering I'm whacked so spent the morning making some more cards. Have to go out at 3pm to take one of our lads to see Youth Offending Officer..............minor incident really but have to go through the 'process' anyway so that'll take an hour. Not looking forward to it..........be starting to get really cold by the time we finish.

Sifted through a lot of Dads bits and pieces I couldn't bear to part with and decided to send some off to one of my sons.........bonus birthday pressie for him.....................lol Bit of a wrench doing it and I found myself drooling over it all over again...............OH was very helpful and helped me pick stuff out otherwise I'm sure I'd have shoved the lot back in the box again.

I'm now surrounded by carrier bags of 'stuff' waiting for ex foster girls sister to collect at the weekend............OH actually got around to sorting through his books..............a whole load of them so now at least I can stand the rest of the books up properly. Just need to do mine now.............lol

Have a great day, stay warm and hugs (((((((((((((:o ))))))))))to all those who need them
