Cold, frosty but lovely and sunny here this morning.

At w**k on my own today, so I have brought my book in!!!! lol

Morning everyone
i managed to sleep until 8am this morning which is a big improvement, i fell asleep around one so i had a wonderful 7 hours.
Outside is really foggy and freezing cold too - neither of the hounds look eager to get out there so i may just start with the chores and take them for their big walk later.
Tea tonight will be bacon,egg,sausages,mushrooms and tomatoes with thick chunks of crusty bread..mmmmm can`t wait!

I`ll have a quick look around on the GC thread and then i`m off to make start.

You could have knocked me down with a feather when my DD said she wanted pants. We have to see how she does with a number 2 yet!!

You could have knocked me down with another feather last night when my DS told me he didn't want his pirate ships any more. This is the first time in history any of our children have voluntary said they want to get rid of some toys! What is slightly irksome is that he only got one of them at Christmas after saying he really, really wanted it. Anyway it wasn't hugely expensive. I'm going to pack them up and see if my sister wants them for her little boy. He's only just over one, but she can keep them for him. I gave her the wooden trainset, building blocks and duplo when she came last year.

Anyway, off to Flylady to see what needs doing today.

Day off for me today, so im about to jump in the shower, and will then do some cleaning. Ive put a beef in red wine casserole going in the SC, and its smelling delicious already - and i was so tempted by the wine - so wrong this time in the morning!!!! but i was good and had a cup of tea instead.

Thats about it from me - hope everyone has a lovely day - its still cold here, but lovely and sunny (and not as cold as yesterday).

dlb - if I dont get the chance tomorrow, Happy Birthday for Weds. Hope DH has brought you something nice!

Ive not gone to work today, I woke at 5am, litterally freezing, shivering, despite the lecky blanket being on full,I cannot get warm. coughing for england which is hurting my chest & every muscle in my body hurts! Man flu I guess.

Made some Twink's hobnobs last night. Twink - can I use honey in the place of golden syrup? Only Ive got a jar of honey which needs using, mmmmm come to think of it, it may not give the same texture at a guess! What would you think?

Anyway, mum's just popped in with some t-bags I asked her to get, we run out y-day and Ive been gasping for a decent cuppa.

Morning all,

Thanks for all the good wishes for DD2....baby (tentatively Aoife) arrived weighing 6 lbs 11 ozs at 4.20 this morning...she was venteuse like her sister but all is well...she has head of dark hair as her mother had and apparently looks like her Daide! ( plastic surgery fund already set up!) S!bh is white blond so will be interesting to see how colouring develops. Probably home to-morrow as no stitches or other complications, might wait until then to see her as DDs 3 &4 are going in this evening so I had maybe better stay to keep S!bh happy.

Didn't sleep until after I heard the news so rather tired...have either one huge or four small (take your pick) coldsore(s) developing, have taken zinc and lysine and dabbed several times with vinegar, hate the things they look so filthy.

No idea what anyone is being fed, must have a shower and get dressed soon or I shall stick to chair, very cold here this morning, but still sunny so no real complaints about the weather.

Then I have a ton of housework to catch up on but feeling sick. Up half the night with tummy bug so I'm hoping it clears up sharpish.

Tru, well done for trying. It's more than I have managed.

Well it's quiet here this morning with them all back to school. I've made my second batch of pastry and it's looking good. The sun is shinning this morning and I fancy a wander around town, I might take a look at some of the charity shops too as I'm looking for some bits and pieces for the kitchen.
