STEFJB hugs to you and yours

    Jayward good luck tomorrow

Hester and PenPen congrats to you.

Have finally got out of grumpy old woman mode. DS is in bed. OH watching Star Trek again  . Went out and planted my seeds that are now sitting happily on various window sills. Have hired a rotavator for the 29th to do the allotment, sorted some paperwork and had a tidy upstairs.

Dinner was a really mixed bag. Made DS soup and garlic bread. We had glop (mashed swede, turnips, potatoes and cheese all mixed up together, on top of a tin of beans and baked in a hot oven for 30 mins) with brussel sprouts.

It is really freezing here, although DS has been playing outside all day without a coat on  .

Off to browse for a bit, hugs to anyone else who needs one.

    Evening all
Just another quick post from me, my kids have just been round & have decided to club together & take over my mortgage, I'm stunned.
It seems they now feel that they should have done more to help during my divorce proceedings (I'm not convinced they could have done anything).
    Hugs Hester

Brilliant Hester......does this mean you can give 'Katy' the heave ho????

  • Hi all
Thanks for the congrats Beemuzed & Jannnyannie.
I certainly hope so Csarina, though I think I'll let her stay till April as that is when her contract runs out at school, as she'll find it difficult to find somewhere to rent for just a couple of months.

Considering how she's given you the runaround I think you're being very generous, Hester!

  • Hi There

Gather MeanM you have a new arrival - very many congrats. Just want to say Hi to Pen Pin, Jackie O and anyone else with problems. HH - is the end in sight?

Had a really bad weekend with old tummy thing and still have a touch of cystitis. Doing the Cranberry juice but not sure how long I need to leave things till I see doctor.

DH left today for his hobby trip to South Africa and I got emotional last night - the first time I have done this. Maybe kitchen thing and everything else a bit daunting. Also fell out with DD on phone last night over next to nothing! I am just out of sorts.

For some reason I am crying tonight and I don't know why! A release of tension? I do find January/February difficult months as I think I get SAD.

DH bought me a DAB radio on Sunday from Tesco - c£15.00, and it is great!

    Love and hugs to all.

I couldn't have put it better myself.

I'm at drs tomorrow with eldest DD, she has to have her bloodpressure checked again, last week it was 133/107 so she needs to have it done again tomorrow and if it is no better we need to see the dr again. The specialist said we have to watch her bp as one of her kidneys only does 20% of the work it should and is badly scarred from numerous kidney infections from when she was a toddler. Apparently there is a possibility that the affected kidney could stop working all together and raised bp could be a sign. On the other hand her bp could be connected to her migraines-it's all a bit of a maze for me I'm afraid so the sooner we get it sorted the better.

  • Oh, HHester

What a lovely thing re mortgage! Must be great relief for you and minder!

Not really caught up but I think congrats to PenPen with your job. To help folk financially must bring you great personal reward. Thankfully DH and I pretty switched on that way and not in debt but Our Nothern Rock shares - well Oh dear!

Please bear with me as I know there are others of you having difficult times.

MeanMarie What lovely, exciting news for you & your family. Yes Justamum she really is mean. :D
    PenPen & Scuzz Congratulations.
HH Thats a great offer. I don't know if I could accept though. It might jeopardise their own mortgages/financial futures. It's not really their responsibility. Enjoy your non-katy time. ;)
<hugs> to everyone whose not well atm. There looks to be quite a few.
Twink That sounds good to see. What colour is it?

Well it's another windy/showery day here. I'm about to clean up after breakfast and put the BM on. :D Hope you all have a good night's sleep. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee

I have SAD, December till Feb are my worst months as a rule. If you want to ask about treatments then just send me a PM. I use a lamp every day from September till about Easter.
