    Mortgage-free Glee!
Tattycath, hope you get on ok with your DD at the drs. tomorrow - must be worrying.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • Very late post from me today. Actually did some housework this morning before DGSs came and demolished what I'd done:rotfl: So cleaned up again, got the dinner then watched the football:D

PenPen :j :j Congrats, well they'd have been mad not to keep you;) Now you can do the same work for half the money:rotfl: Good economics on their part:rolleyes:

meanmarie, congrats on new DGD:T That is a lovely name. I've seen it written, but thanks Pink for the pronunciation:D I shall appear so clever next time I pronounce it correctly!

HH, that really is a very generous offer by your children. So a Katyless future beckons......... you'll be relieved, but we'll miss the entertainment:D

Haribo, hope you're feeling better:D Do the words rest and recuperation mean anything to you:rolleyes: Take care, or you won't have the strength to alter posts around, and Aussie can't do it all herself:rotfl:

Off to catch up with my compulsive American series I've recorded. ( about all I watch on TV these days, apart from my beloved footie :o )

    CM x
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

She's not even in the same class as me. :D

Well I've been upstairs and checked and the combined contents of Dtwins' piggy banks is £3.72, a button and 2 elastic bands so I'm not sure they're up to taking over the mortgage yet. :D Hester, that is some offer and you must have been so touched by their kindness.

Stefejb... I'm so sorry your DD is having such an awful time. Try to take it easy yourself as it must be so hard. x

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm still feeling flakey (so what else is new I hear you cry :o ) but should be fine by tommorrow. Back to full post messing fitness I hope.

DH has an important day at work tommorrow and is twitchy.
Churchie, is it Damages you're watching? I love it but it's getting so confusing that it makes my brain sore. :o

    Night all. x
  • Evening everyone

Thank you for all the well wishes for my Dad :A He was due to be operated on today, but has now been told there is nothing more they can do for him and he will need to wear a bag for the rest of his life  I've asked for a doctor to call me so I can discuss this with him, as I know when you're told bad news you don't always take in the details.

I've had a real spate of people knocking on my door and calling me either to surveys or sell me stuff - I just want to be left alone  If I want to buy something I am more than capable of doing that without someone elses help :rotfl:

Had a lovely dinner tonight of chicken parmigiana (sp?) and tagliatelle. Have just taken some beef out the freezer to defrost for the morning so I can knock together beef stew and dumplings for dinner tomorrow.

DD is going to the IL's again tomorrow and staying for the night - so I'm going to catch up with the ironing after I've finished work.

    Hugs to the Penny-Pinchers

Congratulations on the new arrival meanmarie

    Well done PenPen

Hope you do feel better by tomorrow Haribo

    (((((hugs))))) to everyone
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Hello everyone

Hurray, I have broadband!!! Thank you for the offer Pink - amazingly I managed it all on my own. You're welcome to come down to Newry any time though, no need for any excuses to visit.

PenPenguin, well done on getting your job back. What a shame it's for less hours than before, but I suppose that's better than nothing. Will you continue on with it for the long term despite the drop in hours/earnings?

MeanMarie, congratulations on becoming a gran again! What a beautiful name.

StressedOut...oh dear, your poor dad. I hope he doesn't take the news too badly - who knows there might be a change for the better later.

    Hilstep - welcome back.

Sorry peeps, I have just skimmed the thread today, so apologies if I have missed out anything vital.

    Good night.

    Snowy
