Glad i'm not the only one Dawny...

    I'm gonna start job hunting..

OH told me tonight he really could do with an extra wage as money is tight. I'm bankrupt, but he usually pays for all the bills etc and so this job was going to pretty much contribute to the household which would make a significant difference.

I just feel annoyed that I am looking for a job, when a) I had a job that I gave up for the enthusiasm of this new company b) I don't want to waste my time looking for another job if I get this job c) They have wasted 1 week of my life waiting to find out!

i think ur being messed around by the recruitment guy. some1 else clearly has got the job but they are waiting on 100% confirmation and im guessing u are the next in line so they are keeping u waiting while they wait on confirmation.

always keep options open. never rely on recruitment agencies/companies word for job as they make u run around after them to get to interviews then u dont get it.

    keep looking and applying elsewhere.

    Thanks everyone..

I must admit the job sounded to good to be true, but after 3 interviews I thought I was in with a very good chance.. but all this running around after them has proper peed me off...

I can't bear to ring him again incase he says he will ring me later, (again!).. so I emailed this morning (much to my shame..) but I really want to know what is going on..

I am guessing I havn't got the job, but I think it is very rude to say he will ring me two days in a row and then not bother.. and very unprofessional to leave me waiting for a reply..

Can you tell i'm mad... ?

Applied for a few jobs last night, so we shall see what turns up..

Thanks for all the support, it really has helped xx

Recruitment people are so rude! Why bother telling you they will ring on X date if they have no intentions! If they can't let you know for some reason, then they should tell you so and give you another deadline. Perhaps it wouldn't be so great working there afterall if that is their philosophy - treat staff with contempt.

Don't mean to get your hopes up but sometimes it can be a matter of getting things signed off higher up the chain... That's the position I'm in at the moment... GRRR
I have 2 offers on the table - both took their time getting back to me and both have faffed a fair bit - but the salaries are pretty darned good in return - otherwise I'd have turned round and said "sorry I simply don't wanna work for people who can't make their minds up". One company I have interviewed with twice before and both times the jobs got put on stop because of internal things (like being bought by a larger competitor) - They REALLY want me but I'd have to do a short term as fixed contract before it all goes through and I can have a perm position. The other is a MUCH longer fixed contract but again only fixed contract... I want the perm job, but don't know if I trust them to not let me down again and leave me in the lurch which we just can't afford right now... *sigh*
