    That's bad isn't it...

Still nothing, so I guess I will be waiting again tomorrow..

Is it worth telling them I have another job opportunity and I need to know because the other job want to know by the end of the day..?

Can you sense my desperation? :rotfl:

if u dont hear by thurs take it as a no.

many ask u salaries and start date to see if u are suitable. theres no point in them interviewing n n later offering u the job saying its x amount and starts at x date and u then say 'oh no sorry i cant start then'... or 'i cant live off that...', e.t.c.

but many dont bother to let u no... or they practice on u, making u think its a real job... thats the WORST!

Yes - and so will they. So don't call tomorrow.

Don't at this stage suggest you have another job offer because it's not the truth and it's not going to make them offer you the job if they weren't going to any way.

yeah, good point.. gawd i'm so frustrated.. I thought they would offer me the job at the very latest by the weekend, and tomorrow it will be a week since my interview last week...

the worst thing is if I don't get this job then I know every other job I go for will not seem as good as thins one, and that will be hard to accept.

It sounds massively condescending I know, but I've had that feeling a few times, that 'this job is perfect, there can be nothing that suits me better' but you know what? There will be :)

Had a sleepless night last night... dunno why I am getting so worked up about it..

Anyway, I have gone against all your advice and rang them this morning :o

Got through to the guy who was meant to ring me yesterday..

He appologised for not ringing me back yesterday, they had a very busy day and he just didn't get a chance. He said he would need to ring me back as what he says to me needs to be confidential and he is just at his desk, there is a meeting in the conference room, so as soon as this is finished he will ring me. I asked him how long as I wanted to make sure I was available, he said it should be about an hour.

 wetting myself now.. took a lot for me to ring them again, but to be honest it's doing my head in so much!

I was very cool and calm, and (hopefully) didn't sound desperate. In fact, I think I probably came over as being a little miffed they didn't ring me and just wanting closure on it.

Anyhow, I am happy I rang, whether I got the job or not at least I was proactive I guess... Maybe they will see that as a positive.

Will let you know when I find out.. :o

    OMG I'm freaking out here...

I now how you feel, I was in a similar postion a couple of weeks ago. Just before I gave my notice at my full time job, I contacted my main freelance client in order to guage what my workload from them might be going forward. It took a couple of weeks and several pestering emails from me. I was convinced I'd blown it. And freaking out as my giving my notice hinged on his response. He eventually replied saying he'd wanted to do some forecasting and get a true impression of the likely workload before giving me a reply, but he'd just been too bogged down to do that.

Its so hard though when you're sat waiting on a reply to appreciate that these people are monster busy and are only trying to follow best practise.

    ooo please keep us posted......

G-G I hope you aren't still waiting for a phone call, this alone would put me off of working for this place, how rude

  • Any update? Just read the thread! So it sounds like G-C has been waiting for the recruitment guy to ring him, or the actual company?
