Have I got the job?!

I think this experience has really made me reconsider going Uni in 2009 to study Radiography. I am doing some Open Uni work at the moment so I can hopefully get a place.
THERE you go! All these gruelling challenges life throws at us are always for a reason! What a worthwhile, fulfilling future you have ahead of you now! In light of this, I hope the email confirms you didn't get the job.0 -
I guess things happen for a reason and what doesn't kill you will make you stronger..
Jusy wish someone would give me a break!
I'm bankrupt, Unemployed and Clinically Depressed. I guess i'm a bit embarassed and this job was a step higher than I had been before, so it would have given me some self respect back.
Just sometimes wish I could turn back the clock to when I was 16, I know I shouldn't dwell on things, but I made so many silly little mistakes that I feel ashamed of. Walking out of jobs, losing friends because I didn't keep in touch, and overspending.
Oh well, onwards and upwards eh.. can't change the past.. xBSC Member 155

Just checking by to see how things went/are still going. From what I can see going through the thread you still haven't had a no yet. Maybe you have got a job offer in the post?
This company seems very professional in the interview process until it comes to letting the interviewees know the outcome. Maybe the recruitment guy is reading this thread???0 -
This company clearly has a lot to learn in terms of communications and I certainly think that you've been treated very shoddily. At the least, I would have expected an honest explanation from them as to why it has taken them so long to return your emails/phone calls (other than my internet was down!), or at least an apology for keeping you waiting -especially in the light that the job was to start on Monday. Don't take it personally - they are at fault not YOU! And, if they treat you like this before you become an employee, how would they treat you if you were an employee? As others have said, you're better off without them. Onwards and upwards!0

Think we are all sending you our best wishes on this one, it seems like this 'rejection' is the tip of the iceberg? If you are at a low point it's easy to place too much importance/emphasis on certain things and maybe that's all you've done with this job. If you step back from it Im sure you'll come to the same conclusion as the rest of us ie that the job isnt right for you anyway."I always pass on good advice. It is the only thing to do with it. It is never of any use to oneself" -Oscar Wilde0 -
Yeah, I think you are right.. I am pretty low at the moment but I guess this job process has been going on for like 3 weeks and I have been really happy as I was sure I was going to get it... Now I have gone downhill since the weekend..
I wish things didn't bother me so much..
I am going to try and pick myself up and keep applying for things..
Thanks to everyone who has offered their support on this thread. I really have been overwhelmed, and am very grateful. xx :TBSC Member 155

aww G-G i really fele for u, as over the last year ive been put through the ringer aswell when applying for jobs. i always knew when i didnt have the job as id not got a warm welcome from the interviewer or they were just plain dumb in how they interview or i myself wasnt feeling the role.
One i wanted when id first started gettin interview calls was an assistant role, perfect for me as id just finished uni in that field... i didnt get the job as they thought id 'get bored'. LMAO!
more so after that peoplw would say they'd ring but didnt, and call u asking to come in on x date at xtime, baring in mind me reachin central london did cost £9 for the whole day at peack time. it wasnt cheap and was made worse through not knowing fully how to get there and when it was raining.
one told me in the int i basically got the job, then sent me a letter which i received the next day saying 'sorry but no'. i was SOOOOOOOOO MAD!!!! (perfect location, perfect job spec, perfect design office... everything PERRRRRRRRFECT) then NO... just NO. arrrrrrrrrrrgh!
but i stuck it out even tho i was getting depressed with each no, and just over a year later i was finally been given a chance with a job in a publishing company. i previously lost out to someone else last year but i got called back they didnt work out
keep at it girlie! x.x.x0 -
