Also, does anyone think I should make a complaint about this recruitment advisor to head office?

I would definitely make a complaint about this guy to his head office, he has behaved most unprofessionally, heck if you give me the name of the company and the guy I'll complain for you ;)

As to wasting your time, it may be that you were up against another strong candidate and you were interviewed for the third time before that candidate, they loved you but unfortunately they loved the other candidate more but only at the last fence.

I had to interview someone for a pre-school post and we had two strong candidates, one had volunteered at our pre-school plus was a qualified infant school teacher - these two things gave her the edge over the other lady (but only just). Unfortunately the lady felt she'd been robbed and that we only gave the other lady the job because we knew her - she couldn't face the fact that the other person got the job because they were (marginally) better than her in experience. Not saying that you're like this at all just that sometimes someone just pips us at the post :(

    Bless you Sou.. thanks x

I know they had a couple of stronger candidates, but i'm more annoyed with how they have led me on really. The last interview lasted 1/2 hr and I thought at the time it was short, although it went very well.. Looking back I think they were just doing it as a formality, I think they knew at that point I wasn't going to get the job...

I applied for a job with an old employer (thru an agency, so I didn't know) - the agency woman emailed me and said I see you have worked for them before, do you want to work for them again? The thing is I do, but I left on bad terms due to a disagreement with my boss at the time about moving departments.. will the company allow me to return do you think? My work was always excellent and I had a promotion with them whilst I was there. This was about 4 years ago.
There's only one way to find out - be honest with the agency and let them ask. They may have a policy of NOT taking people back, or they may welcome you with open arms. Especially if that manager has moved on.

Thank you for the interest you have showed, we wish you well for your future career search.'

Nothing about why I have been rejected?
