Have I got the job?!

Get it all out.
I really feel for you. Allow yourself to be really upset and cross.
And then give yourself a couple if days out. Foget the jobsearch. Don't worry about money for a day or two, just pause, regroup, indulge yourself and let Mr G-G look after you.
And you know what? Next week you're going to be bigger, better and stronger, and will get a much better job - this one WASN'T MEANT TO BE0 -
Awww fanx xx
I just feel very let down now. I just can't believe what I thought was a professional company has treated me like this.
If they had told me last week I don't think I would been half as angry as I am now.
I've sent a few online applications off from job sites. Not feeling too confident at the moment, but I guess I have to get the ball rolling.
Had one call this morning offering me a job as a collection officer.. she didn't seem to understand my reluctance due to being a bankrupt.! & the fact that it would be the worst job in the world anyway..
Might go shop and buy a load of smarties..BSC Member 155

Well, I tried to ring him about 10 mins ago after my OH said how bad it was that they were messing me about..
Didn't get an answer from the number
5 mins later, I get an email from him saying a letter has been sent out to me today and sorry he couldn't get back to me yesterday as his internet connection was down.
I emailed back and just said 'I take it I have been unsuccessful then?' - waiting for a reply.
I'm crying.. I don't believe how much they messed me about.. and now I don't have a job at all..
Hiya G-G
I can't believe how badly you've been treated by this lot - so he didn't have an internet connection - says a lot for that company doesn't it - but what was to stop him lifting a phone like he promised?
Like the others have said, I think you've had a lucky escape - something will come along soon I'm sure.
Like you, I'm now looking for something else too.
Good luck
Sally

I know, what a joke huh..
He rang me from his mobile before at about 7 or 8 at night, so he knows my number and how to use a phone.
He is just a coward, and still hasn't actually said I havn't got the job. He hasn't replied to my email back to him asking. What a joke.
Oh well, let's hope I get something even better offered to me.BSC Member 155

You've got to look at this as an interview process and realise that it's as much about you finding out about them as it is the other way round.
Clearly, from what you've learnt through the process, these people are a bunch of muppets, so I wouldn't waste any time worrying about it. If they don't treat you with respect when they're trying to sell themselves to you, imagine what they'd be like to work for.
Just keep plugging away, something better will come along.0 -
Oh G-G - what a bunch of b!"£&$£".
You're worth so much more and I bet they will kick themselves in the future. PLEASE don't cry over these losers they are SO not worth it, big massive virtual hug coming your way.
It probably is an internal thing, absolutely nothing to do with you & your skills. As Phirefly says take a day to chill, have a good few drinkypoos tonight to CELEBRATE your lucky escape from such a bad mannered, stuck in the past company.
Oh and Phirefly "Last time I asked for feedback on a position I was rejected for at initial application stage, I was told 'Well the only thing really is that your handwriting wasn't quite right' "...... Classic!!! Makes you wonder how some companies switch their pc's on in the morn doesnt it!Compulsive Spendaholic #150 -
Thanks guys.. I am feeling a bit better now. At least I got my answer anyhow.. just feel slightly stupid for ditching my old job though... but I didn't like it so maybe it was all fate. God only knows!
Just wish I could give them a piece of my mind, but it ain't gonna get me the job is it.. just will waste more of my time.
Good job they don't employ doctors based on their handwriting!BSC Member 155

I'm properly having to surpress my sniggers now... in fashion, they refer to your design style as your handwriting
Not often a thread makes you laugh and cry in one day!0 -
Have you actually had a no yet? I used to work for a company whose policy was not to give any news via the telephone - I assumed I was unsuccessful, but the letter was a yes... It ain't over til it's over...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200

Well, they havn't said anything.. he hasn't replied to my email asking, and until I get the letter i'm not too sure. I can't imagine they would be like this if they wanted me to work for them though?
I think this experience has really made me reconsider going Uni in 2009 to study Radiography. I am doing some Open Uni work at the moment so I can hopefully get a place.BSC Member 155
