Yeah it's just the holder part, the SIM inside is fine. I thought I might be able to buy one somewhere without contacting T Mobile - who have the most rubbish customer service ever!Fantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations0

I saw a previous post but didn't really understand the maths. I was looking at T-Mobile's mobile broadband PAYG packages. It says that it costs £20 for 30 days, and you're limited by 'fair use' to 3GB per day. By my reckoning, that makes it £20 for a month's broadband with a data limit of around 90GB???
That seems to eclipse any other deal I can find (including contract T-Mobile and Three). It also seems to beat alot of ADSL ISPs?
I assume I must be missing something ... why would you take out a 12mth contract with T-Mobile which gives you 3GB/month when you can get 90GB without the contract for near enough the same price?

i have just bought the T-Mobile PAYG dongle (see "My horror story with T-Mobile) and I'm using it on the £2 per day scheme when I'm away from home. Check on the coverage though, I tried it yesterday at home to test it and although there were lots of bytes being sent and received, I couldn't connect.0

Try ebay, or buy the PAYG stick which is 49.99 on the tmob website. You can just use your current sim in the new stick then...Lightbulb moment: Nov 2006September Wins Bestival A>Z CD £10 / Cavalliert Facial £75

Hi,
my contracts up for my t-mobile web n walk (or mobile broadband) as they call it now. I have been offered the 3GB unlimited use package for the lower rate of £10/month - is this a good deal? or do you think I can do better - this is without a new dongle (don't need one as current one is fine).
Thanks in advance0 -
I think i may know how to resolve this issue!
Had to re install windows due to a system file being corrupt. Anyway, i did have Windows Media edition, Web n Walk worked fine on that.
I had Service pack 2 installed on my laptop. And that's when it started going downhill.
After reading most of the 'help' sites, i found out a soloution that has been working for me for approx an hour now. Not disconnected once.
There's a USB extension lead that comes with your Web N Walk stick.
For some reason, this is stopping it from disconnecting. Not sure if it's because it overheats and tries to turn itself off? Or it the USB connection is too loose.
Give it a try though. It seems to have worked0 -
Hi has any one got any advice, In march this year we were anticipating 2 house moves, I searched T Mobile advice on reception using 2 post codes we would be using was told good on both tied myself to 2 year contract, (For £10 amonth after cashback) we have now done our second move and find no signal, I contacted T Mobile who say its intermittant in our area, although web page show good!!! We cannot get signal at all in the house and bad one in garden. I have been told they will transfer me to a phone sim to continue the contract, I got my PUK code for my mobile phone for which I pay O2 £15 a month for 800 min and 1000 txt (Sim ony) phoned t mobile to move and be told that it will cost £30 for same deal as they cant transfer me to sim only as thats not a contract that will be like for like. so I pay the same as if I do nothing!!! Any advise on what I can do. I don't mind transferring phone to T mobile but not for same cost as doning nothing I tried to point out I could put dongle in drawer and leave it there and it would cost me the same but no one seems to want to help, yet I feel I would not have taken out dongle contract if I had nown coverage was that bad0

I moved into temporary accomodation in March and looked into mobile broadband as i would eventually be moving again. I recieved a call from T mobile offering me mobile broadband for only £10 month as I had my mobile phone contract with them.
I have had a pretty good service for the amount I am paying but am now moving into a permanant address. I informed T mobile of my new area but when they checked it had no network coverage, so i requested to cancel the contract.
T mobile have told me that the contract can not be cancelled unless I pay the cancellation fee of the remaining months on the 18 month contract.
Can anybody tell me where I stand on this. They say that the service is only provided based on the network coverage of my address at the time I entered into the contract, I wasn't informed of this when they called me.
It doesn't seem fair to me that I have to pay for a service that they wont be providing me with, and that if I do wish to have an internet connection in my new home I would have to enter another contract with another provider whilst still paying T mobile???
Is there anything I can do??0 -
No. Because no network has 100% coverage and they won't guarantee coverage in every single area. If you moved to a remote croft in the Highlands would you still expect to get a signal? And if not, would you still expect them to let you cancel your contract?
You would have done better to go on to a PAYG mobile contract for such a short period. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
