  • Hi angel77,

My main problem with the web 'n' walk is more of a mis-selling issue. when we signed up we informed the sales persons we would be moving within 6 weeks and were not informed that there would be no service at all within our new area. We took out a 24 month contract in Feb08 so still have a long way to go!

I have written confirm that should they be able to offer 3g within my new area (which they cant as they dont even have phone coverage) I would be happy to continue the service, but until they do I shouldnt be paying for it at £20.00 per month.

We have gone through the whole IT dept checking for signal, but were not getting anything! could have told them this day one!

So now we are through to the complaints dept. I wrote last week and am waiting a reply - will keep you updated. Will post or PM you with details as they happen!

Still have a copy of the letter is you want that too.

I have gone down the route that even though we signed a contract :

    a) the sales person mis-sold it to us
    b) we have the right to pay for services provided under the sales of goods act 1979 - and to reduc or payment to a 'suitable' level for the service offered
    c) Do they asume people do not move? and if the are saying we can not in order to not be in breach of our contract (as per t-mobile customer service!!), surely this is a breach of our human rights (the right to own property) under the ECHR act 1998.

We were informed to 'sell on' the contract and they would transfer it to someone elses name, but as all the people we know live in this area, it is a pretty useless idea from T-mobile (and a bit dodgy anyway!!)..

  • whoo hooo!

Win for the small guy!, just received letter this morning confirming t mobile will cancel our contract from when we return the USB to them!!

That will do for now - will respond today stating that we shouldnt have to pay since March, but wont hold my breath to get that!!

Anyway saved us £20.00 per month for the next £18.00 months !!!!

    feeling good!

T-Mobile has launched a new pay as you go Mobile Broadband offer, which connects users from £2 per day.

    30 day contract. Modem £49.99p

The package allows users to choose from 1 day, 7 day or 30 day packages The 1-day package costs £2 per day, the 7-day package costs £10 and the 30-day package costs £20. Visit: http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-broadband/pay-per-day-options/ for full details.
  • there is no mention of any minimum usage... so if buy the modem for £49.99 and us it once in 6 months, i'll pay £2.00 for that day and still be able to use again when i like? and not keep on paying when i'm not using it?

i smell a rat, i feel this one is just like the o2 deal where u have to keep paying for a pay as u go service, which makes it no different to a contract.

You aren't committed to future payments.

On O2, or indeed with any pay as you go deal on any UK network, there's no obligation to top up regularly if you don't want to

You can pay per day, week, month for internet on the sim - you just need to top up in advance..... You can use a dongle. Or you can use your phone as a modem providing its compatible.
