Finally nice to see someone who has managed to get the contract end earlier. Well done Simon
However have you discussed:
1. Is there a cancellation fee?
2. Do you still have to pay for the remainder of your contract eventhough it is being terminated early
3. Will it affect your credit rating? I read somewhere that these companies automatically send negative feedback about prematurely terminated contracts to credit rating agencies
4. Is there any chance you can post your letter to T mobile on here so that the thousands who are affected may be able to use it as a template letter?whoo hooo!
Win for the small guy!, just received letter this morning confirming t mobile will cancel our contract from when we return the USB to them!!
That will do for now - will respond today stating that we shouldnt have to pay since March, but wont hold my breath to get that!!
Anyway saved us £20.00 per month for the next £18.00 months !!!!

For some time now I have been looking at various options for mobile internet access and came upon the T-Mobile PAYG dongle which you can buy for £50 and then pay £2 per day which was ideal for me. I ordered the dongle on Friday and it arrived on Saturday. Great service so far, but that's when my problems started.
When I opened the box I discovered that they had sent two sim cards and two topup cards. When I rang them (on the 0845 number, no alternative), they checked and told me that that both cards were inactive and they couldn't find me on their system. Good start!. I was then put through to someone else after a five minute wait who said that they would re-activate one card and to they would ring back in two hours to confirm, which they didn't! I then rang again and had to repeat the story all over again, and again they said they had no record of an account for me, but this person went through my details with me and said that she would create an account and call me back which she didn't! I then rang again and was told to wait as there was a five minute queue for CS. After fifteen minutes I hung up and rang again, and told the whole story again. This time, luckily, I spoke to a very helpful person who promised immediate action and even gave me his email address so that we could keep in touch with the problem. I was then telephoned by someone who asked for the credit card number I bought the dongle with but could still not find the order or account. Eventually, a lady rang to say that they would be sending me a new SIM card and crediting it with £5 for my inconvenience. What!! The worrying part was that she later rang and asked for my address!! Hopefully this will soon be sorted out but I want to write a letter of complaint to the CEO of T-Mobile. Does anyone know who he is and how I can contact him? So, there you have it, not quite in a nutshell, but the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth0 -
CEO of t-mobile is Rene Obermann.
There UK headquaters are
Hatfield Business Park
Hertfordshire
AL10 9BW, England
but im not sure if the CEO is based there it might be a UK CEO if you get my drift."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

I sent an e mail to the CEO, and got a call from his secretary yesterday, but I was out and she left a message asking me to call her which I have now done on five separate occasions only to be answered by a messaging service asking me to leave a message! She did subsequently send me an email mentioning her call to me, and that she had not heard from me so she was emailing me!! So, this saga goes on ond on .............................0

Hi all. I have T Mobile Web and Walk with the USB stick to connect to the internet. I'm a bit clumsy and have bent the USB stick, does anyone know how I could get another one wihout having to pay a fortune from T Mobile, plus will it accept them SIM card? Im sure it said somewhere on T mobile they'd try and charge you £125 for a new stickFantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations0

Have you bent the bit that goes in to the PC? If, so you'll have to contact them for anew one, not sure how much it will cost. Shouldn't affect the SIM card because you can just transfer it to the new dongle.0

Success at last:beer: I managed to speak to the CEO's secretary today and we have now sorted out the problem. She agreed with me that the whole thing went wrong from the start, and made me a very acceptable offer of internet credit which I have gratefully accepted.:j0
