Ordered 4 pairs, 2 of each colour. Final price £19 including postage. They are well aware of what is going on but seem powerless to do anything about it at 10 o'clock at night. Mind you given M&S history of running out of stock on things I've bought from them I'll believe it when they arrive.
  • I just called and i got all the way through the order process, setting up an account etc.. Gets to the payment method and she announces "oh sorry you can't use Visa electron" which is terrible a massive company like M&S won't accept Electron   and trying to ask why is like :wall: so i asked her if they would honour it instore and she said "yes, i can't see why not!" so i will be going tomorrow with a print out of the page to see how i get on!!;)
EDIT:-I just decided to try and order online and it has went through!! but do you think they will cancel when they notice the payment method??It didn't show the discount when i ordered but if they do by some miracle arrive i will call them up for my £10 refund!!:D
    Thought for today:-
There comes a time in your life when you realise who matters, who used to matter and those that never did;)
:T Now facing my debts instead of hiding from them!:T

Thanks to everyone on here than has helped me through my darkest days!:D

A little off topic, but why do people try to avoid "0845" numbers? I thought those were like toll-free "0800" numbers would be in the U.S.? I'm guessing they aren't. What are they and why are regular numbers better to call?

Its not that long ago that marks did not allow you to use any card apart from their own store card. I once heard a "motivational" speech by someone whose name a can't remember (did the pay your mortgage off in two years programme) who went on about how marks lost so many customers because of it and Tesco started the climb to where they are now because of the use of their clubcard info.

0845 are charged at a local call rate. If you dail a 01 number eg 0131 for Edinburgh on most call schemes nowadays its free. 0845 will not be free
  • 0845 is not even really a "local call rate." Many phone providers don't even have the concept of a local call anyway. Myself I pay 0.6p/min to call a normal number but 3p/min to call 0845. Which makes 0845 about six times more expensive, plus as previously mentioned they don't come out of any bundled minutes you might have. NOTE... 0870 is even worse!

order online through quidco for extra 6% off then pay upfront online to validate the quidco tracking and then call the excellent number provided by hunsbury0:money: [01925 672317 if you have free minutes on your mobile] and then notify them of the offer some colleagues already know of it and others dont and they will deny the fact of seeing the offer but will need to direct them to the link provided by saintscouple.
    i ordered 4 pairs of trousers 41.50 - £20 discount/glicth= £21.50
then [not sure how quidco is worked]
    £21 - 6%= £20.21
    or
    £41 -6%= £19.01
    either way a bargain:T
bit long winded but excellent offer thanks to all those that helped

Thanks for this- ordered 2 pairs this morning, the lady said she'd taken delivery off as well and the order total came to £11. Can't work out how she arrived at that figure (should be £9) but I thought it'd be pushing it a bit to query it...!
