Hi,
I'm on O2 Discount 500 at the moment, 500 x-net minutes and 200 texts, all for £20 a month, however my contract's about to finish 10th of July, so I'm wondering, do you reckon I'd be able to get a better deal off O2? I dont really want to go onto an 18 month contract.
so do you think theres any chance they'll gimmie a better deal? has anyone else just upgraded their contracts, that were on discount 500 BEFORE the upgrade? Whats the best thing to say to retentions?
Many thanks,
Huw :beer:0 -

I'm on this tariff and was offered the online 200 and a K750i free.
I asked for a W810i but was told it would be £40.0 -
I just had to share this - I told 02 I was thinking of leaving them so they said i can have;
500 texts & 100 anytime any network minutes for £10 a month!!
And I don't want a new phone so they are paying me £100 cash on my next billing date...just saw the post about upgrading the handset anyway and just flogging it on Ebay..now thinking maybe I should haev done that!
Well pleased with the monthly deal though :j0 -
O2 actually rang me yesterday to discuss my "soon to be ending" contract. I have 6 weeks left so this seems a bit strange. I told him to ring back today as he phoned during the England game (bad move on his part).0

July 4th because if you cant get a new deal you need to give them one months notice that your cancelling your contract.0 -
Ok guys just make sure you check your contract terms when it comes through as i was offered the 02 250 but on the t&c i had today it's 02 100. Been sorted and new terms on its way.
Also people who had a new 3G phone make sure you request a 3G sim as they did not bother sending one to me and 3G wont work without it. Also being sent out.0 -

Just phoned O2 Retentions again 30 mins later and asked them to beat the deal I was offered and now they are offering the following:
Discount 500 - 500 X Network Mins
500 Free Texts per month
£15.00 per month
£75.00 Credit applied to my account straight away no need to wait for cashback etc etc.. as i want to keep my handset - This will be a new 12 month contract even though no handset taken
So that works out at -
£15.00 x 12 months = £180.00 - £75.00 Credit = £105.00 for 12 months
Therefore = £8.75 per month after discount etc
where did the £75 credit come from?0
