Or ring now, and ask them to put you through retentions. If you are transferred then start negotiating. If you get a great deal and you confirm it they will then check and reply that you have to wait. You can ask them to put that deal in your notes so you dont have to re-negotiate again.
Thanks. On the basis that they might shaft me in the mean time I will leave it 2 weeks.
Have O2 offline customers got any chance of getting a good deal though? I get the feeling I may end up cancelling and going with T-mobile flext 35.0 -

Dial 0800 005 005 and ask for retentions.
Tell the initial CS that you got an offer from THREE and thiking to leave.
Then to retentions tell the same, praise their network and service and say you would love to stay if they can match the deal. If you dont see things going in your way just tell them you will re-think and call back. Do it again as its FREE to try.0 -
Can anyone conform whether these sort of negotiations work with a new contract. if so what should I be asking for in terms of free phones, if I am after 2 new contracts with 200 mins + 100 texts each ? (Low user !!)0

This specific thread discusses about the retentions as they are generous in giving away value to customers.
But you can try calling 0800 0643535 (Online Sales) or 0800 0890281 (O2 Sales) and bargain.
Direct number for retentions = 0800 0288151
Also try 0800 0899302 (Upgrade Sales)

My mate is one jammy git, he managed to blag a O2 XDA Exec - 3G handset Online 200 £100 account credit AND free handset insurance for the term of his contract... that being 18 months all for £13.99. Much like me he has only been with them for 13 months on the Online 50 tariff and never goes over his bundle. Having said that he could sell ice to an eskimo but that is just so jammy I cant believe it!So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable Christopher Reeve (1953-2004)0

I have same experience with O2 CPW retentions. They downgraded my tariff to 400 minutes off peak for 8.50 pounds per month(12 month contract),new Nokia 3250 handset plus 150 pounds total cash back in 4th,8th & 12 th month. The CPW retention number is 01925556261 & the person name was Matthew.Good deal as i pay only 102 GBP for the whole year but will get £150.00 in back.0

I paid an average of £21 / month (Originally £19)
I called few weeks ago and bargained 500 minutes & 500 texts for £20 with a Sony z520i and a Free bluetooth.
I'm also on this tariff with the 50 bonus mins and renewal due in three weeks. So I'm currently on 100mins 25 txts for £19.
I contacted the retentions dept and was offered 200 mins 500 txts 12mth for £20/mth with a free K750i.
I mentioned the 500mins/500txts for £20 quoted above but was told they were off peak mins.
After two calls to them, they won't move on the offer above. Am I being greedy here?0 -
It amazes me that people are still with vodafone. It amazes me even more that orange thought they could bring out some baffling, rubbish, and poor value for money animal tariffs, and get away with it.
Tmobile flext and O2 are really the ones to go for at the moment, and imo O2 are second to none when it comes to retention deals. I bought a pay monthly sim for O2 for a couple of months then asked for my pac. The gave me 300 minutes 50 texts for £15 a month on a 12 month contract and W810i which I flogged on ebay for £200. I’m actually in credit by £20
I would not recommend that people take the £100 credit if on O2 for not taking a phone because it’s before vat so in real terms you only get an £80 credit. Get a phone and if you don’t need it flog it on ebay.0 -

I took the £100 credit instead of a new handset because the handset they offered me wasn't worth much on e-bay when I done my research. I just now looked at an old on-line bill which they added the £100 to and I got actually £95 and a few pence. IMO not a bad deal considering the handset was crap that they offered meI think it depends on what handset you get offered, if I could have got the W800i that I wanted at the time I'd have snapped their hands off.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Do you think I'd get any extra retention brownie points if I also took out a second SIM on the same account? Was thinking of getting a £25pm sim only for my OH anyway so was wondering if it would be better to do it all in one go.
Thanks and hope everyone has a fantastic day (Can you tell it's my last shift before 2 weeks holiday???)
