This will be a cashback scheme then? Still not a bad deal mind you, however O2 Direct customers have been given deals of around £10 per month for 500 Anytime X Network Mins with a credit of £100.00 on there account.
For the year that would work out at £120.00 - £100.00 Credit = £20.00 for the year. Divide this by 12 months = £1.66 per month thats without a handset of course.0 -

Oh my! I got 200 xnet anytime minutes and 500 texts for the same money. I also got the £100 credit as I didn't take a new handset. But if she's happy with that then its a good deal.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Does anyone know if O2 reduce the price of handsets to keep customers? I have been quoted £159.99 for the Nokia 6280 upgrade (on O2 50 online tariff), but do not want to pay that much for the handset!0

I had a similar problem when trying to upgrade to a Nokia N70 a couple months ago. If you drag your heels you will get it cheaper, i managed to get them down to £69 after the 3rd or 4th attempt.
I noticed that if you find the phone your after with another provider cheaper and quote the deal they will take some form of discount from it.Its just your donald duck on who answers your call.0 -
i managed after repeated phone calls to get 500 anytime mins and 500 txts, a 12 month contract for £20 a month. got a new sony w810i too! cant believe my luck! was close enough to the original discount 500 to keep me happy! it may take a fair few calls to get an offer your happy with, but keep trying. i was messed round lots but finally managed to get through to a girl who offered me that. i think as a general policy theyre willing to take up to £15 off any of the online tariffs, so ive managed to get the online 500 tariff for £20 rather than £35.
thanks for the help everyone!! :j0 -
I called them up last week, contract runs to 13/4 currently on online 250, with 250 texts for £35 and managed to get 400 mins, 150 texts + a choice of phones for £20, but the only gripe I had after I came of the phone is they want me to change to an 18 month contract, is this necessary when accepting these retention deals?
I've got until thursday to decide on the phone I want as the lady from O2 will be calling me back to order and sort my contract, but am not too keen on the 18 month contract, has everyone else just accepted this?I want to take on capitalism, but cant get the day off work....0 -

the lady i spoke to asked me if i wanted a 12 or an 18 month contract, i picked the 12, depends on who you get.0
