O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

just phoned and the discount500 has not been available for a "few months now" i'm on 100 xmins 500txts for £25/month .

Was offered 200xmins 500txts for £15/month if i didn't upgrade she would credit £100 to my account .

Asked about what phones were available if i upgraded , wanted nokia n70 she asked if i had 3g coverage i said yes, put on hold, came back told there would be a charge and i didn't have 3g coverage (pants) just looked on 3website and i DO have it.

So told her i'd think about it and phone her back later, so hopefully the next person is more giving lol.

hahaha RESULT 500 xmins 500 txts £20/month free sony ericsson W550i, wouldn't budge on phones only offered W550i or K750i (wanted W800i and they wanted £99 for it ) or nokia 6111 or 6230i (wanted n70 they wanted £99 it )

Can send it back before 14days so gona try it and if i don't like it maybee sell it on ebay or phone back and see what i can get after a haggle.

I'm well chuffed for myself now lol gona go treat myself to a :beer:

Well first time poster, very interesting reading about everyones deals they were receiving from O2 so i took it upon myself to give em a call. My contract is not set to end until the end of May and i have been with O2 since the days of BT Genie,(around 6 years or more).

I was on the online 100 tariff costing £25 per month, however my bill is usually in the £40 per month. So i called and told them i could get 200 mins and 1000 txts from Orange for £35 with a new phone. The lady put me on hold for all of about 45 seconds then came back and gave me the online 400 tariff, which comprises of 400 anytime x network minutes and 1000 texts for £30 - normally £45 per month! - Plus a new phone of my choice.

So am feeling pretty chuffed about this and would like to thank each of you for contributing to this thread!

ive been with o2 for 3 years, revious tariff online 200 xnet 500 text @ £20 pm, ive just had to really haggle to get same tariff but had to pay £70 for D600, could have had others for free but wanted this one.

Not a great acheivement but my monthly spend was £20.97 so cant complain

i'v been ringing o2 for a while now trying to get a good deal.
actually rang today to see about taking one of thier online tarrifs for £35 for 1000 mins x network anytime. it was either this or t mobile flext ... (£26for up to 900 mins ) but t mobile can be a bit patchy for reception over here in northern ireland
so when i spoke to the guy he took all my details and ended up giving me 1000 mins and 100 texts for £30 and he give me 2 months free rental (although i do have to pay £49 for new se w800i)

all in all pretty pleased

I'm on O2 Online 200 Texter, have been for 6 months now (of an 18 month contract), pay £30 a month and have a nokia 6680.

Now to be honest i dont use calls all that much, i have like near 15 hours built up to use. Texts wise i dont use a lot either.

I was just wondering if it'd be likely if, A - Call up o2 and ask to speak to their retentions dept see if they can give me a cheaper deal & a new handset?

Or B - Say ive found a better deal, i want out of my contract, move me down to the cheapest line rental so i can get out of it & say i can be persuaded if they can give me an upgrade on my handset?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Hello all

I have an o2 offpeak contract which is run out on 5th aprill and i want to stay with o2 but need minutes for any time/ any network.

Called o2 today and speak with matt, he offered me 500 min x-n/w and 100 txts per month with W800i mobile free of charge!

I am still trying to get 750 min with w800i for 20 pound or 500 min with w800i for 10 or 15 pound.

One of my friend is on same tarriff with me and he just upgraded last week and he get a good deal which is 500 min x-n/ws and 100 txts for only 10 pound with w800i free of charge.

Well still confused what to do?
