OK - so there have been plenty of results here, but how can you get them to give you a 'Special' deal, by moving from O2 PAYG to a pay monthly tarrif?

I've spoken to them a few times now & best they do, is pont you towards the O2 online tarrifs.

& these don't compare to The Link/ Carfone Warehouse & others.

    Any ideas??

O2 Retentions won't move you from PAYG to Contract. What you could get on PAYG is a tariff called "Call Bolt on 500" Thats 500 Anytime Any Network mins for £27.50 I think, best to confirm with customer services.

    o2 Do a 500 xnet and 500 text deal for £25 ?

do you still work for o2 ?

They can do better than that, I'm getting that for £20 and I'm sure I've read it cheaper on this thread if people don't have an upgrade phone!

Just keep calling, you'll get there in the end as savingsgirl has proved! :T

Shame I'll have to go through O2 online. Was hoping to talk to someone in person so I could strike up a deal. I'll try phoning Vodafone and O2 and see if I can sort something out. I'm sure I can if I tell them there's two contracts at stake! Unless Orange offer me a deal I can't turn down. I'm gonna switch.

    hey people,
very nice thread...am just wondering though, i am with the cpw-o2, will i be able to strike a deal with O2 directly, or have i missed the boat ??? i went with cpw-o2 becos they had a cashback deal....i hope i dont regret i now, when renewing :( ...

any advice would be very much appreciated...
    thanks...
  • Just spoke to O2 retentions, turns out I can't renew my contract for a couple of weeks yet :o

Am currently on online offpeak 500 with a K750i and spending about £35 per month.

They asked why I was looking to leave, said I needed to reduce my monthly spend - they offered 500 xnet anytime mins and 500 texts for £25 per month with SE W810i thrown in for free.

Was going to mention that I'd seen the Nokia N70 (admittedly a refurb) on 3 with 400 xnet anytime mins and 250 texts for £17.50 per month (after cashback) from OSPS but I guess I'll have to wait a while before I push for a better deal!

Sorry! The above Discount 500/750 tariff is only available to direct customers of O2. Customers that have bought there contract from the CPW will not get the above tariff as when you call customer services to discuss you mobile phone account, you willl get through to CPW Customer Services.

Next time buy your phone from O2 Direct or O2 Online - Sorry for the bad news!! :)

Be aware anyone who has taken out a renewed contract with 02 lately. Keep on eye on your online bill.

I called in Feb to strike up a deal with retentions and was offered a good one so took it. I got some new t&c's this am so thought whilst on there I'd check how many minutes Iv'e used this month as I don't want to start paying :D My tariff went from £20 per month to £15 pm but my bill was showing they had taken 2 lots of £30  (last month and this month in advance) which is what my tariff would have cost had I not got it on a deal. I didn't notice last month (and stupidly didn't check) as my e-mail bill just said "Your O2 bill for 10/03/06 is ready for you to view online. The balance on your account shows that you do not owe us any money. You need take no further action" this is because I'm £100 in credit for not taking new handset. So I called to ask why I had been charged £30 and not £15. She said the online bill has been set up wrong. Instead of crediting me the £15 discount its been taking it  What a scam that would have been had I not noticed till it was too late. Anyway turned out ok as shes leaving bill as it is and crediting me £180 lump sum to cover the extra charges.

Even though I got the credit back please keep an eye on your bills people.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
