    Hi Xsammix

I was wondering how you can get the Nokia 6330i at £65. I would love to get one at such a cheap price!!

    Thanks

It's actually 400 texts and if you go over, you pay for it on your bill but up to an additional 100 texts are refunded every three months. Hence 500 free texts - a bit confusing, but I think that's right......

Is that 'up to 100 texts per month are refunded on a three month basis'

    or

'up to 100 texts are refunded every three months'

Sorry to be pedantic, I just want to make sure I understand, as I am about to phone and re-negotiate my contract

Sorry - it was a bit unclear, so I will explain it a bit better.

From what I was told, the Discount 500 tarriff allows 400 free texts per month. Anything over 400 texts you have to pay for. BUT, every 3 months, o2 will refund up to the first 100 texts you paid for in each of those 3 months. i.e. Every month, texts 400-500 are free, but you pay for them up front (at 12p per text standard rate), and then o2 will refund all those costs at months 3, 6, 9 and 12.

The o2 service person referred to this as a 'Customer Text Loyalty Bonus' rather than it being as part of a plan.

    Hope this helps!

pmsl only been a sim only customer for 4 months!

thanks to all whom posted the info

PS) the guy stated the best deals go to previous sim only customers (even though I was on 800 mins 2000texts at £45) so they obviously make a packet out your sim only loyalty

got offered a nokia 6680 for free, but then i already have a unlocked moto a1000 from my 3 contract, so now I have a small 3G pocket phone that connects via bluetooth to my IPAQ :)

guy stated for me the price on the website for any handset is the price you pay...so if its free on o2 shop site its free on an upgrade to Discount500/750 tarrifs so keep pushing fellow mse'rs!!

they have only had £200 out me in 4 months.....now this deal is what I call customer loyalty (considering 1999 they lost my custom as they refused to match the competition let alone undercut it!!)

I got offered this deal Tuesday last week to but passed on it till I could get to an o2 shop to feel the handsets, £17.50 sim only or £20.00 with handset, I simply quoted the guy in retentions today last Tues deal and he put it through no problem

Lastly is it not amazing in until 3 hit the network scene my mobile bills were £200-£300 a month now they are about £50, and thanks to this deal I can see £30 max, chuckle chuckle in my own way I feel like a chinese guy whom just bought the last UK mass car producer for peanuts !
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
    If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:
    :D

    YES!!!!!!!!!!! :j

Thank you! Thank You! Thank you!!!! :j

I love you all loads!!! :j

    Just got 500 x network anytime minutes, 400 texts and a new Samsung 500 for £15 a month :T

A fantastic improvement on my old deal (£20 a month for 750 off peak minutes to O2 and line lines and 50 x network off peak minutes and 500 texts, plus phone). I wasn't using the off peak calls much as I now have free evening and weekend calls on my landline, but I was getting stung every month for those extra odd short calls that I make in the daytime when I am out, so my monthly bill was £25 - £35 most months. These x network anytime minutes will easily cover those calls.

    Oh WOW!!! Am I a happy bunny!!! :T :T :T

Can you tell??? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just got my Discount 500 tarriff and a free k750i.

I had been a customer for 5 years (my tarriff was on BT Genie for those of you who remember that far back), and I had never had an upgrade. Ever. I told them I was still using my Nokia 3210. Which I may or may not be using anymore...

Also interestingly, the girl I spoke to referred to it as 'The Three contract'...

A month ago i phoned up CS just asking for a new handset and they laughed in my face, getting them to match an offer is the way to go.

I had been following this thread but because I was on the old £10 per month sim only Genie contract I thought "No Chance".

However your post spurred me into action and I am now on the discount 500 for £15 with the free k750i also.

    GREAT POST!!!

Can't get them to give me any free texts at all. I've got the Discount 750 for £17.50 a month, but they say there's no way they can allow any more than 100 texts on it, and it's not available on that tariff. Then she said something about the people I'd quoted getting texts must be on an internet tariff.

Any ideas how I can get some texts? The best I've got is a bolt on of 50 for £3

Did get the SE 700i for free with it though, so no complaints with the tariff or phone.

Cheers to everyone for posting about the Discount 500 and 750, they certainly weren't going to offer it to me unless I knew about it, and we've been on a business tariff with them for years. Even then I had to quote the people here to get it on the £17.50 rate.

    GREAT POST!!!

I was originally on the old Genie Mobile tariff at £10.00 per month as well and changed to Discount 500.
