I've been with O2 for a year now and have just tried to put the advice given into practice. I was originally on the online 200 tariff (£30), just been offered 500 x-network minutes and 400 free texts for £15 by claiming 3 had offered me 500 x-network and 500 free texts for £15. Also moaned about the fact that I'd be missing out on a new handset if I stayed with them and was then offered the Sony Ericsson K750i for free.
Greatly appreciate the advice given on the site! :j0 -

That is a good result!! Well Done! Better to stay with O2 than going to 3, O2 have a much better network and call sucess rate!0 -
Hi Folks,
Has anyone managed to get a breakdown of call charges on the Discount 500 tariff.
I would like to know if calls to 0800/0500/0845/0870/0844 numbers are incuded in the inclusive mins?
Do the mins roll over?
Can anyone on this tariff already confirm any of the above?
Thank you0 -
I've been with O2 for 2 years now. Phoned them to ask for my PUK no. and was asked why? explained that I had been offered a better deal by 3. I was originally on the online 300xnet off peak tariff (£20), just been offered 750 x-network anytime minutes and 400 free texts for £20 and also mentioned if they would throw in a bluetooth headset they said they would credit my account with £40. I also asked for a new handset and they offered me the Sony Ericsson K750i for free.0

please advise -( i know nothng about tariffs etc)
I have been with 02 for 9 months
im on 02 30 PLAN( 30 FREE MINS AND NO TEXTS) FOR £15 A MONTH
BILL IS USUALLY AROUND £30
Right just rung em and they said it is £84 to cancel my remaining contract
Told them what you lot were saying on here
she came back with
1. free sony k750i phone
2.250 x network minutes and 100 texts for £15 a month
3.new contract will start from Monday
4, waive £84 cancel fees
Does this mean i can phone other networks/mobiles/landlines and get 250 mins a month?
This sounds too good to be true after i have been paying £15 a month for 30 mins and no texts
please tell me there are no hidden costs0 -
Reliable, You got a good deal considering that You have not completed your current contract. Also considering the new phone that You got thats fabulous.0

Daughter has been with o2 for 12 months and contract is up for renewal on the 27th July. She is on the on-line plan 200 at a cost of £30 a month. I rang retentions and told them that i had contacted orange and they would do the same deal for £20 a month with a free nokia 6230i.............and hey presto o2 have agreed to do it for the same price. Daughter is made up with that as she gets
200 mins x-network............500 texts........120 picture messages...........200 mins internet....
At a tenner a month cheaper she is made up.......0
