Pleased with what I was offered today (better than what I've been offered over previous months):
Free Nokia E65 (which I asked for), 800 anytime minutes, 2000 text messages, plus free weekend calls and 1MB web allowance - £25 a month on an 18 month contract.
Needless to say, I happily accepted0 -
LB what were you spending per month before?
Good deal0 -
deedeeliz, looking at my last bills, I averaged just over £26 a month over the last year. There were a few months around the £35-£40 mark due to roaming abroad.0
-
How did you manage that? Last year my deal was pretty good but they just wouldnt match it this time around0
-
This is the best I could manage after reading these threads..............
New Sony Ericsson k850i.......800 cross network mins and 1000 texts.
Either unlimited texts or O2 to O2 free calls and a bluetooth headset for £25/month on 18 month contract.
I thought that wasn't a bad deal as I didn't want to go down the cashback route again, wondering if I'm sending in the correct bills etc.
It's for my daughter so I'm hoping that it'll be £25 max per month now !!!
If I sell the k850i for around £200 and she continues using the phone she has now.....That works out at less than £14 per month for 18 months...Not bad imho.
I'm sure you !!!!!!s will do better !

I managed to get
New K850i blue (free)
600 minutes
1000 text
1Mb data
free o2-o2 calls
£20 month
18 month contract
256 MB memory card (I think this might come as standard)
they did offer me 12 month contract at £25 but i think i will probably stick with the same phone for 18 months and this year i didnt even upgrade till about 4 months after my contract expired so 18 months will probably work for me!
was this a good deal?0 -
I have phoned a few times since my contract came up for renewal in September. I initially opted for the £25 simplicity tariff, and called today to ask for my PAC code, pointing out I had seen a better offer elsewhere. The very helpful lady put me on hold and came back with the offer I mentioned above. I was quite surprised as it was a lot more generous than what I had been offered previously!
Moral of the story: if you can, hang in there for a better deal!0 -
After waiting months today is the day I finally get to upgrade or cancel.Just got off the phone with O2 retentions and was offered:
O2 Xda Stellar(HTC TyTNII or Kaiser)
750 mins
100 txts
1 MB
O2 to O2
18 month
£25 a month
Any good guys? You can have God without religion!0 -
Right, a bit like the guy above, I got this from O2 Retention after I asked for my PAC code:
New SE K850i (free)
Online 35 (Talker)
750 minutes
100 text
200Mb data (internet bolt on for 7.50)
free o2-o2 calls
£20 month
18 month contract
She originally offered me online 30 (500 mins), but I asked if she could do more and I got Online 35. Didn't take a lot of pushing - wish I'd asked for the net free but that deal was better than I was going to get at 3, so i was happy.
Woo, new phone on Monday/Tuesday0 -

Hi again,
Just got off the phone with o2 again. I intimated that I was not happy with what they offered at first. The kind lady; it's always the ladies;);went away for 3mins and offered:
additonal 150 mins a month for the next 3months,
o2 long weekends instead of o2to o2 and
free bluetooth headset.
Very happy:jYou can have God without religion!0
