Hi Guys
I have been with 02 for about 4 years now and I am due to renew my contract. Just spoke with them and have been offered 250 xnetwork minutes plus 300 texts plus Nokia 6300 for £20 per month 12 month contract. This does not seem to be a very good offer in comparison to other offers made to some of you guys, any suggestions?I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

I've been with O2 for 10 years, was on the retention 750 tarrif with no texts (i was sure they said i had 100 texts last year), spending £33 a month total.
So just been offered sim only 600mins and 1000txt and their weekend calls free thing for £25 a month 12 month contract. How does this compare should I ask from more??0 -
Hey All,
Just got a decent retention deal from o2, quite suprised at what they managed to offer:
Free N95
400 x-network anytime mins.
1000 texts
1mb browsing allowance
£25 per month for first 12 months, £30 for the remaining 6 months on an 18 month contract.
Not bad, I thought.0 -
Do you think it is possible to get the following:
200 texts, 200 minustes for £15 a month on a 12 month contract, and £100 cashback or credit for keeping my phone? The thing is I do not use my phone that much, so I only want to pay the minimum amount, and 1000 texts etc. are wasted on me. If I can get an even better deal than that, great.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
Tried 02 again to see if I got a better, have been given 30 day contract of 200xnet mins 400 texts for £15. To give me time to work out how to get a better deal with a new phoneI USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

I had upgraded my O2 contract in July and was offered O2-500 tariff with 500 mins, 100 txts for £17.50 (12 mths half price, original price £35/mth). My July and Aug bill correctly showed the discount, but I when I saw my Sep bill I was charged the full amount £35.
I called O2 CS today and within few mins they checked my previous notes for the offer details and told me, I was moved from DISE to Companion platform (This explains ODM Migration Customer in my status http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=540381) and hence the discount had disappeared.
He readily updated my account to provide me £15 discount/mth (as he has no option to provide the £17.50 discount) and then a credit for £25 (equivalent of £2.5 for remaining 10 mths).
Has anyone been migrated from DISE to Companion and faced this problem?. When I asked why I was migrated, I was told that DISE is being phased-out.0 -

Called again and spoke to a woman who was much more helpful.
I said as my average call pm were 500mins and texts 102, could they give me a more custom designed package for me, or I walk.
Got offered:
750mins & 500texts
No long weekend deal
Nokia N95
18 Month Contract
£20 for first 12 months
£35 for remaining 6 months
So if I sell the N95
so the total would be:
£450 + vat = £528.75
- £250 (selling N95 on ebay after fees)
= £278.75
= £15.49 a month for 750mins & 500texts
Decided to take the offer don't think I could get them down any more0 -
Here is the Retention Deal o2 gave me.
12month contract
500mins xnet
500 sms
Free SE P1i
1st month free line rental.
£20per month.
I sold the handset on ebay which covered my line rental for the year.
Think I did pretty well - what do you think.0 -
Yeah good. They wouldn't offer me anything close to that, although that deal would be perfect for me !Never buy a stupid dwarf -
Its not big and its not clever.0 -
