Guys,
Thanks for all the input so far. I haven't gone through all of them but looked couple of pages.
My contract finishes on 9th of March. I called up lots of time but every time they say that if u need a good deal then you have to call on 1st March(looks like they were trying to tell me that the deal offered by retention last for only a week)
Anyways any suggestion on handset?
I am thinking of going for a handset as well this time.
Samsung D900 looks good to me. Any idea about any other good handset?
I was keen on XDA orbit (with free Sat Nav) as well but it is costly and some people suggested that it tells you the street once you crossed it.
Any input much apericiated
Cheers

Your PAC is valid for 30 days, if you have not used it it will expire and you will remain connected on your original tariff.......If you call retentions they may offer you a better deal if ou say you would like to stay , never accept their first offer and always be prepared to barter!0 -

HI, Macladd, I've already use the pac and now switched to O2 pay as u go..0

If you are on a Sim Only tariff then you can switch back to O2 after the first month has elapsed and try to get a deal from them then.0

I could do with the deal like macladd..
Just got off the phone Im currently on 250 x net mins £15 .. I was due for upgrade in jan so rang o2 on freefone no. spoke to 1 girl then was passed to another.not retention they both very nice..
I explained I could do with more mins and some texts..was offered 500min x net and 100 txt she said cos I been with o2 for very long time since 1993
I can get loyalty discount so my bill would be £28 they will give me 3 mnths free plus free handset or £100 credit. on 12 mnth contract this would be £21 mnth if i take new phone.
I asked what about the o2 long weekends she said to get that I would have to do 18mnth contract and can have 600 x net 100 txt and free calls to any netwrk sat thro mon up to 2000 mins a mnth. plus the 1st 3 mnths free.so I would pay £28 mnth for 15 mnths..
.. this deal didnt sound too bad til i read these posts on here I tried to wangle the price down but she wouldnt budge. I havent mentioned leaving but made it clear Im checking other networks. I dont really want to pay more than £20 mnth and would like to stay on 12 mnth contract.. Macladd if u read this let me no who u spoke to and what no u rang please..cheers TB0 -
You guys must all be really really good at haggling!!!
the best i got was keep my old phone = £100 credit
it has to be a new 18 month contract
100 mins and 425 texts at £15.20 a month...which works out to be £9.64 a month (taking into account the £100 rebate)....
which is good i can't deny as on pay as you go if i topped up £10 a month i don't know if i'd get 100 minutes anytime any network, although i would get 300 texts...0
