Right ring until you get someone nice, I accepted this deal after 5 phone calls after crap deals.

Last year on discount 500 for £15 per month with free nokia n70.

This year I got quoted all sorts, dippy birds wanted to offer me tarrifs with less mins and text for more money and offer me a phone for money lol.

I cracked it. Said three where offering me 500xnet with free phone for £15 that they are. Not saying you get no texts and phone is crap to. Always be nice, didnt even say all ball or give me my pac code, but here is what he offered.

FREE Nokia E50 black "ltd ed"
    FREE Bluetooth headset
    £15 month
    550xnet
    500texts

    18 month tarrif.

Guy said he was offering me the online 30 tarrif with £15 off per month.
    Kind Regards

I'm trying to sort out a deal at the moment.

Phoned last Saturday. I'm currently on 50 minutes * 200 texts for £19. No real need for a new phone

I have been offered same tariff at £9pm with no phone or 25 minutes & 125 texts for £6pm with no phone.

25 minutes is just too few minutes although most months I don't use this but would prefer extra "just in case".

They wouldn't budge on these. I even asked for my pac which they happily gave.

Is it worth trying to pursue it?

Now that i've used up my spare minutes, is there an 0800 number to phone for Online retentions?

Ring 100 from your mobile, its free, try in morning and take my advise and say you have seen a deal on the three network, get a new phone there free and also means you could resell on ebay to save you even more money on your contract. Keep ringing until you get the deal you like, took me 5 calls in all over 3 weeks.
    Kind Regards

    Just checked the website.

It appears that CS is charged at normal rates.
  • Hi,

I'm new at all this haggling for a better mobile deal but mine runs out this months and obviously I'd like something better/cheaper.

Do I just say that my contract is due and what can they offer me? Is it as simple as that?

    Ta :)

Tempted to just start a new one with cashback and get everything for free but I do like the O2 network and I usually forget about at least one lot of cashbacks anyway :D

I think its as simple as that but others wouldn't agree with me :D
Last month I called to say my contract ended soon and I wondered what they could offer me. Wasn't much offered as I'm a low spender, £15 per month. I'm happy with what I get for what I pay so I asked if they could leave me on the tariff I'm on. She said no probs and I left it as it is.
It sometimes helps if you can show them a deal online that is better than what you are getting and threaten to move, but don't be surprised if they telll you they can't match it and give you your PAC code.

Only thing I would point out is, they sometimes mess up your billing. I get paperless billing but you have to keep an eye on it. Last year I was charged the whole £30 per month when it should have been only £15. When I called to get it sorted they said it couldn't be changed but the credited me £180 to cover the extra. This year after asking that it doesn't happen again, it did. When I called to complain again I was told that instead of the credit they would charge me £30 but then credit me back £15. Lot of messing about but its sorted now....hopefully :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

I phoned back today and this time got offered 50 minutes & 200 texts for £9pm plus a new phone or £75 credit as opposed to last time where all they would offer was the tariff at £9 with no phone nor credit.

I took the Nokia E50 and will probably sell it.

Ring 100 from your mobile, press 2 for disconnections, press 2 for cancel your contract or if no options ask for retention team. Say to them ive been offered on three network 500xnet mins for £15 per month and a free phone and they will offer you a deal, if you dont like it, hang up and do steps again, try every day until happy. Try call in mornings as your might get a manager to answer your call and they will offer you a great deal like me.
    Kind Regards
