Not sure what the differences will be though!

but they're not treating old and new alike, old are getting these good deals, Im new and can't get them
  • ok i'm new here and slightly confused...

    i was on this deal...25pound a month 200 min 500 texts

i phoned up and told them about this offer...

    02esave 500 min 100 texts 40pound a month with 300pound cash back working out at about 20pound a month

they offered me 600 min and 1000 texts for 25 pound so i snapped it up

but when i called back they told me i was now on an 18 month contract...this wasn't pointed out at the time...i can call 2moro and ask for a 12 month contract but will only get 400 min and 500 texts for my money...

    should i push for more?

edit: i forgot to mention i can't sort this out today because they said it is not possible to deal with it on a sunday...

They seem to only offer £25 per month for around 500 xnet and 500 texts with a phone that you have to pay for on a 12 month. Most networks offer better deals on a 18 month now. They will soon to get rid of the 12 month deals.
    Kind Regards

If last years deal was good for you have you asked if you can stay on it? I am on a good tariff for me, 200 anytime anynetwork mins and 500 texts. I called and asked if they could better the deal, i.e more mins but for the same money but all she could offer was to up the mins to 500 for an extra £5 per month. I didn't want to pay anymore than I am so I just asked if I could stay on the same tariff as last year. She said no problem at all.

I got told they cant do that deal anymore.
    Kind Regards

  • Just come upto my 12 month renewal, wanted to get my monthly costs down, so followed this thread did the 3 phone calls to retentions, polite each time and finally accepted 200 mins, 100 texts a new Nokia E50 with bluetooth headset for a tenner a month. Probably not the best handset but for a tenner a month with the amount of minutes I tend to use I'm happy.
many thanks to all for the tips....

thats good, looks like 2nd year round after you take a deal out they f u c k you. First year was great for me £15 per month for 500xnet and 500texts. This year trying really trying hard to get a good deal. Think im going for three deal for £15 month for life for 500 xnet on 18 month deal, quidco £70 cashback, sell the phone and got a cheap line rental. Herd mixed reviews about three, crap international call centre lol, but for under £15 per month, ill be happy.
    Kind Regards

Ok so phoned back today...decided to go for 400 min, 500 texts for 25.00pounds with free long weekend for 6 months but as i was about to confirm my phone cut out! i phoned back and spoke to someone else who said the deal i had been offered would be 35.00pounds and i should never have been offered it at cut price! my final offer (which i accepted) was 500 min and texts for 25pounds for 12 months...i'm pretty happy with that, so :o
  • I rang O2 and said i wanted a sim card for PAYG as I wasnt using all my minutes/texts etc, so the lady I spoke to told me I could have 200 mins 150 texts and the Sony Ericsson K800 with 1Gb memory card for £20p/month, 18 months. I know a lot of people are getting slightly better deals, but I had nothing really to go on since I generally dont use the minutes and texts I had before (500) so am happy with the low tariff and new phone with free gig card!

ring up, play dumb, they will log the offer you have been given, you can call back and take it, or ask them to better it!

    What phone is this for?

I'm getting offered 250 mins and 500 texts for £25 and the K800i.

Phoning up tommorow (WHY DOES IT CLOSE AT 6PM!?!?) to see if I can get better/cheaper on the W850i.
