I am just back from my ww class and i have lost 8 1/2 lbs this week.
Am really chuffed!I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

well done irishmummyof2 that is a great amount to lose, i have only just found this site and look forward to being a regular poster. i have lost 2 1/2 stone and looking to keep going but when i read some of the posts i think some people are kidding themselves especially arkonite_babe
I wasn't too bad today. Breakfast boiled egg, lunch nothing, tea mash mixed veg and a chicken breast wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese.
Downfall was 4 hob nobs, but they were homemade one that I found on the OS board so at least I know what's in them
lol wasnt to bad only chicken wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese . To have sustainable weightloss you have to eat regularly and sensibly so having a breakfast and then nothing until tea time is crazy and you will stray more easily hence 4 hob nobs.
i think you have to look at it more as a change of eating lifestyle rather than a diet because if not are you going to be on a diet for the rest of your life.
why no try.
breakfast weetabix or porridge muesli and some fruit.
lunch chicken sandwich on brown perhaps with a weightwatchers yougurt and some fruit.
tea stirfry chicken with noodles and veg, chicken( on george forman) or salmon with roasted vegetables,
and if you are hungry snack on some fruit and nuts rather than buscuits
and drink plenty of water.0 -

I'm getting married in September and want to loose a stone before the big day, i've already lost 7lbs but I'm at a bit of a plateau at the minute."I'd much rather have a caravan in the hills than a mansion in the slums" Neil Finn

I start work at after 5am in the morning during the week, the thought of even touching food at that time of the morning makes me physically sick. My list posted above was a typical weekend. I don't tend to eat lunch if I'm not hungry. I won't eat just because the clock says it's time for lunch or whatever. the 4 homemade hob nobs were in the evening and that was just being plain naughty.

I do look at it as a lifestyle change. I use far less processed food now than ever before and all my meals are cooked from scratch so I know exactly what's going in to them. Weight has gone up from late last year due to illness, I have quite an active outdoor job and am using that as well to help shift some pounds.
why no try.
breakfast weetabix or porridge muesli and some fruit.
When I did manage to eat this one morning it made me too full, as I said above my job is very active and involves a lot of bending and stretching, a full tum does not work well with this.
lunch chicken sandwich on brown perhaps with a weightwatchers yougurt and some fruit.
Sandwich is usually my lunch choice, tends to be plain ham though on granary bread, no mayo or sauce and a scraping of spread. Not fussed on yoghurt.
tea stirfry chicken with noodles and veg, chicken( on george forman) or salmon with roasted vegetables,
I have a smaller portion of whatrever the rest of the family have, I'm not starting to cook 2 different meals just because I am eating healthily and one of my family don't like what I'm making. Most nights tends to be mashed potatoes with veg. Some nights we will have meat with this, should that be sausages, bacon, chops whatever. Other nights it will be just plain and simple such as mash and beans. We also have things such as soups, stews, pasta, casseroles and rice.
All the meat I cook is grilled or cooked in a pan with very little or no oil.
and if you are hungry snack on some fruit and nuts rather than buscuits
and drink plenty of water.
I do try and do this to the best of my ability and with the best intentions in the world, it doesn't always happen though. This past week hasn't been good I admit but it hazsn't been the worst for my eating habits either.
So thankyou grogdog for singling me out for criticism, I take it all on board and will continue with my change of lifestyle. I'm happy even if I lose half a pound each week .
Just to let you all know, this week I have Lost 2lbs0 -

Today my eats are as follows so far......
Breakfast - 1 slice hm bread toasted
Lunch - ham sandwich on granary bread, no mayo etc and a scrape of spread, 1 apple, 1 sainsburys basics oat and raisin cereal bar (90 cals)*
Tea will be mash and minced beef and veggies.
*Sainsburys basics cereal bars have the same or less cals than a special k bar, are a fraction of the price and taste good too. Oat and raisin bar has 90 cals per bar, oat and apple has 88 cals per bar and the special k bars are all 90 cals. Sainsburys bars are 59p per pack of 6, Special K bars are approx £1.90 - £2 per pack of 60 -
Oh I have been hiding out from you guys
Had a very indulgent weekend which would be okay if it hadn't started on Thursday. It still hasn't exactly ended yet either and as DH is away, I have PMS and a cold I can't exactly see it ending just yet either. Good to hear some of you are doing so well, I will be back honest.0 -
No probs, come back when you feel up to it0

Welcome to the new folk and well done to irishmummyof2 and Arkonite! It's great news. I've lost a bit as well - somewhere between 1/2 lb and 2 lb depending on whether my weigh-in day is monday or tuesday! (I seem to vary by up to 3 lb day to day???) anyway i'm happy and that's the main thing.0
