Well done to those of you with good losses, just don't push yourselves too hard
I know I've not been posting but I am still clinging to the wagon. Gym Mon and Tues morning (not today, b**y neighbours burglar alarm was going off half the night) and have been eating fairly sensibly. Still need to try to get back into walking though, but my night classes end in a couple of weeks time and it's getting brighter in the evenings so I think it'll be easier to up my quota. I'm also having some trouble with being hungrier than usualnot sure if it was the weather the last few days.
I am now 12.4 and still aiming to do the stone in two months but need to update my sig since I think it starts here
At least it's a nice day, good luck for today to everyone.0 -
I think the reason i lost so much to start is because i have so much to loose, but i do know that it will slow down to 1-2lb a week from about now. Would love to loose it quicker but i know it's safer and healthier this way.I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

Hi everyone
Since monday i've been dieting based on around 1000 kcals a day - I really must lose my flab before my end-of-Sept holiday and yes, I do need all that time to lose all my flab
The key principle I'm trying to follow from the diet book i'm reading is not to let myself get hungry at any stage - so as well as having breakfast, lunch and dinner, I have a piece of fruit mid-morning (sometimes twice!), again mid-afternoon, and then later on in the evening, about 9 or 10 pm or so.
I must say that I haven't been physically hungry whilst doing this, but I still need to avoid temptation arising through being in a nibbly/restless frame of mind. Still, not being hungry helps!
I am keeping my fingers crossed that when i jump on the scales on friday morning, it will not all have been in vain!
Well done to everyone who's lost weight, some great losses this week, esp Irishmummyof2 :T0 -
Oh dear, we went to the cinema on Tuesday night and i had a hot dog AND popcorn with a coke.
How bad am i? So i am now trying to save 4 points a day to make up for my huge mistake, but it's killing me...lol
I have also taken over the role of dog walker in the house and going out every morning, afternoon and night and am really enjoying the peace and quiet.I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

Good to hear you're all doing well...Arkonite babe hope you're feeling better, there's nothing like feeling a bit yuck to do away with willpower
I'm doing good on the exercise front and reasonably well on the daytime eating. I'm still finding nights tough, I get in from night class and feel like I deserve a reward and I just want to eat eat eat. So still trying to figure out a strategy for this, trouble is that I do need to eat something if I'm going to the gym the next morning. DH wants to go out for dinner tonight too so that'll be a few extra calsand no doubt a glass or two of wine which I've been doing a good job on steering clear of.
hope you are all enjoying this lovely sunny day0 -
even though I haven't been well this past week, I have managed to get another 2lbs off
Lets hope that when I'm back on my feet I can keep it up.
Well done to irishmummyof2 and everyone else who's lost weight this week and hugs to those of us who need it0 -
Hi all, just checking back in since I'm at the beginning of a weekend where I might be a bit shaky....DH is away so I've got the house to myself. And I'm taking my mum out for lunch tomorrow in lieu of mothers day (we both hate the conveyer belt food on the day itself). Anyway her tastes def do not run to the lower cal end of the food spectrum and I'm guessing there won't be too many low cal options. I also won't have time to go to the gym, and didn't today either which means I def have to be sensible with food.
Had a nice lentil and pasta salad for dinner tho so at least one good thing under my belt so to speak.
Hope you all have a good weekend and arkonite hope you're feeling better...btw where did you get your name? I don't even know what arkonite is
***UPDATE*** weighed myself this morning (Saturday) and lost a pound. Ok not a lot in the scheme of things but in the right direction. Gonna work extra hard to keep it off - no eating in the car!!0 -
Okay I am coming on specifically to (a) pat myself on the back and (b) stop myself from raiding the kitchen by reinforcing good behaviour
I did indeed go for the fattening lunch and had fish and chips BUT I just ate the fish and not the batter and I had most of the mushy peas even tho I'm not overly fond of them, just to fill up on something healthy. I also did a family thing that I was worried about and it went really well so feeling pleased with myself.
On the down side I did eat two buns thoughAnd no exercise although I knew that would be the case...gym tomorrow for sure.
Finally I went to sainburys on the way back and despite being hungry stuck religiously to my mostly healthy list.
Perhaps I am fully back on the wagon!!
Fingers crossed for a good week.0 -
Well done for sticking to your healthy list and you done something i couldn't do..leave the batter..lol
Good luck for this week!I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."
