Tiscali Troubles

• If you have Tiscali TV your tech support is actually UK based and they are very very helpful. If you phone during the day (on a weekday) you get through to someone straight away. TV service is good, and my broadband is speedy (getting 6.5 meg which drops to 4.5 if watching TV) with no problems on P2P etc. Tiscali isn't all bad!

people seem very quick to jump. as previously said tiscali tv support is uk based and very helpful, and also forum help is very good aswell

they are imrpoving and dont think ive ever spoke to anyone in India
• I wouldn't bother I have been waiting since beg of Jan for my broadband and keep getting told anytime now!!!
• having exactly the same problem, i am cancelling my order with them today
• I'm in the middle of a major dispute with Tiscali, they are a bunch of useless crooks. The call centre is in India and as others have said they won't deviate from the script, it took me 9 weeks to get my broadband activated when I moved house and they kept telling me it was working when it wasn't, I could get speeds higher than I could, I would get all the charges refunded etc etc...

Jump ship quick!
• whats why they are so !!!! as they can't get anything right
• Still no router! Having to resort to purchasing a netgear.

I have reported them to Watchdog, e-mailed Trading Standards who replied advising 'All requests for initial advice are now dealt with by Consumer Direct they can be contacted on 08454040506 or at www.consumerdirect.gov.uk'

Went on their website but couldn't find an e-mail to contact them.
• I too signed on with tiscali Broadband/phone bundle, the contract started on 1 Feb, phone side working fine. Modem arrived after about a week but still no sign of my wireless router. They say allow about 2 weeks but that's well past now. They are not answering e-mails.

Also I signed for £14.99 for broadband plus evening and weekend calls, call made to them on 17 Jan. When I check on my account they have weekend only calls. When questioned they deny ever offering an evening/weekend call package but I'm sure that's what they were offering in mid Jan.

I'll let you know if I get any further.
