EDF Energy Online customers - BE AWARE!!!

Not that it matters but are you sure it's nearly 2 years as opposed to 3? I joined their version 3 tariff in November 2005 so that's just over 2 years. V4 didn't start until April 2006.
Hi Jem - yes you're right it was April 06 I signed up to EDF so nearly 2 years not 3! Just hit the wrong button. It's applied to each quarterly bill. My parents are on the Eon EnergyOnline Extra Saver plan and I monitor their account. Just signed in to look.
Thanks for checking that for me - I thought as much but it's nice to be sure. Do you think I'd be doing the right thing going for that one? Looks like you got a pretty good deal with your switch

i heard today that eon prices are on the rise monday
Hi Autismmum,
E-on's prices have already risen - the new prices were announced on Thurs 7th Feb as far as I know. So due to this I'm assuming there won't be another rise from them for a while - this coupled with the fact it looks like my cheapest option is the reason I'm thinking of switching to them for now.
Regards

It's been very good for my parents. I switched them from Powergen's Staywarm tariff last March when they got word that their monthly payments were to increase by £30pm. With the Online tariff they stayed at the same monthly payment so had no increase. At their last bill(January) they are around £140 in credit.
I'm very happy that I did switch. I nearly cancelled the switch when I read here and was told by EDF's customer services that the increases in january did not affect the online tariffs. I decided to just let it go through as I suspected there would be an increase later in the year. I never for one minute thought it would be about 2 weeks later!
My Price Fix tariff is only £4.36 per year dearer and I get £30 cashback.0 -

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostFixed Price with EDF
Want a fixed price till 2010 with EDF Energy?
Well EDF wont tell you about it, the customer has to ask for it by name or say they will leave for another supplier before EDF will allow you to register for the Fixed Price 2010.
I work for EDF and we have been told we cant promote this to customers unless a customer asks for Fixed Price 2010 exactly, if they say have you any fixed price deals, we must say no!
So if you want to fix yourself into a good deal until 2010, give them a call, say you want to be put on the Fixed Price 2010 tariff or say you will leave for another supplier.
Good luck
Would the above post mean you got cheaper prices than the letter quotes? Nor sure if I have quoted properly! but i rememberd this post from earlier as it applied to me as I am with EDF. If anyone tries this let us know what tariff they offer?0 -
Well I'm leaving EDF online v3, got the letter today. Huge rises.
Have decided to try Ebico. I am a low gas user & the price for electric looks competitive enough. Realise a price rise may occur in March when I shall review again; see what EDF v5 looks like.0 -

seems EON are the best now after EDF?0 -
I'm going to see what BGas have to say / what they send me, probably pay for me to wait for my £40 cash back to come through and then see about switching again. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
