    Thank you for your e-mail

I have arranged for your prices to be held at the old rate until we receive notification that you wish to change supplier. If we do not receive this notification within 28 days we will back date the charges at the new increased price.

    Kind Regards

    EDF energy

Just had my final elec bill from EDF as can't access online account as they have closed it.

    And guess what

They have charged the new rate from 1st Feb. Have emailed but don't hold out much hope.

I have complied with their t's and c's but they haven't.

Anybody else had the same problem and can anything be done?

Yes I had my final gas bill last week and they had also charged me the new rates. I have my last bill from December so I checked against that. I did have an email confirming that they would not charge the new rates but had deleted it in error. I phoned them and told them that they had agreed to keep the old rates, and that I had an email to that effect. They said they were going off to check the email, when they returned to me they had worked out the differnce to be £16.80. They have sent me a new statement refunding the £16.80. I have not had the Electricity bill yet but told them to make sure that was charged at the old prices. If it is not I will be on the phone again. I would phone them and complain I di and it worked.
