Been offered this, is it any good?

    24 months contract
    £10pm
    100 mins, 100 text, + 1 flexi booster (e.g. unlimited internet)
one-off £40 for the handset SE Vivaz

Compared to new customers buying online, the handset cost is £142 and you can go via quidco for extra £20.

All in all, £82 savings as an existing customer... should I take it?
  • not many mins. i would push for 300. plus ask 4 it in writing or email.

I would take that deal myself as I don't use too many minutes. Can I ask how long you have been with them and the tarrif you are on? (I can upgrade in 3 months and wouldn't mind this phone or an X6)

I've only been with them for 11 months on a 12 month £30pm contract.

Tried to push for more minutes or reduce handset cost but no luck, so agreed on that deal.

Beware - they are almost as bad as Vodafone retentions. I confirmed at least 3 times with the tmobile retentions guy that the handset is £40, and there was no mention on the call that I would be paying the delivery charge of £7.99.

Received the handset next day, despatch note saying charge for handset kit = £57.99.

Called tmobile to query this, and was told the handset cost should be £50 and £7.99 for delivery.

I said I wanted to cancel the upgrade, he then offered £10 goodwill credit on my account but couldn't do anything on the delivery costs.

Can't be bothered to argue any more so accepted it.

hiya not due for an upgrade for a while but was wondering i am on a tariff which tmobile dont do anymore but i want to keep.
I pay £40 a month for £350 worth of credit plus free weekend calls.

I wanted an iphone but realise i wouldnt get a tariff as good as that.
What if i was to buy an unlocked iphone. does anyone think t-mobile would let me keep the tariff im on but maybe for a lower price as i wouldnt be getting a new handset from them?
i will have been on this tariff for nearly 3 yrs by the time i upgrade.
    any input appreciated thanks

Not sure but what tariff are you on at the moment? I used to be on an old tarriff but have changed for a better deal and saved money.
Iphone I think you can get up to 1200 minutes and a flexible booster (e.g unlimited landlines, unlimited tmobile calls) 500 texts for £45 a month or so, any additional flexible boosters are £5

    Hi,

Just looking for some advice; I got a call from T-mobile asking me if i want to upgrade early (contract ends on 12 July 2010). I am currently on Flext 35 18month contract with 10% off - so £31.50 a month.

She offered me the HTC Desire for free, with 600mins, 500 txt, internet, and booster package for £30 a month for 18months.

Is this a good deal? I wasnt sure if anyone has had any better deals from T-Mobile retentions, and it would be better for me to hold out and cancel my contract etc.

TBH, i would be happy with a sim only tarriff (i am still fine with using my Nokia E71), but the woman couldnt do anything better than what is on the t-mobile website.

    Any advice would be great.

    :)

We held off, got PAC codes, I used mine and then on 4 May got offered SE X10 for £25 per month.

shortguy - If I were you, I'd be looking to drop down to £25 per month unless you really really want the HTC Desire and are happy to pay the £30 per month

    Hi,
is that for the same tarrif and an 18month contract?

I dont really need a new phone...the E71 still working fine.

Has anyone received a good sim only retentions deal?

I am a moderate user so will need 600 mins, approx 400 texts and internet.

    Thanks.
