Worth it for the unlimited texts alone imho. Nothing stopping you keeping your existing handset if you prefer it and eBaying the new one :)

    Do something amazing. GIVE BLOOD.
  • Hi All,

My contract ends on the 5th March and t-mob are allowing me to renew on the 5th feb, they have said I could get the HTC Hero or the HTC HD2 when I renew but I am more interested in the HTC Bravo which is due out in April. The Hero would be acceptable but compaired to the Bravo isn't worth locking myself into a long contract for IMO. the HTC HD2 is WinMo so a deffo no as an option.

Is it even possible to not upgrade until after the Bravo launches in the UK? If not what are my options to ensure I can get a Bravo in april? This is my first renewal and I'm not sure where I stand atm or how best to get what I want.

I know that holding out for the next best phone would result in me not getting a phone ever, but the Bravo ticks all the boxes that the HD2 dosn't and a few that the Hero misses for me so i wouldn't be holding out after the Bravo for the next best.

    Many Thanks
    Rikki

  • Thanks banger,

It's a releife to know i won't be forced to renew sooner than i would like. Being my first ever renewal i wasn't sure what was possible.

    Thanks again

have you thought about the htc legend?

it's the upgrade to the hero
  • No I hadn't considered the Legend, however that March release date sure does put it as a contended if no further news of the Bravo is available before the Legend launches, thanks.

  • I've been with T-mobile for 3 over years

Granted my actual contract with them ended in July 2008 (lol) and apparantly I've been on a 30day sim only deal for the same amount ever since.
I phone them up a coupla weeks back to go hey - I want a new phone - but alas, as I was on a 'sim only 30 day contract' at £20 a month they couldn't offer me Squat. (that wasn't a reallllllly old type phone in their bargain bucket section - lol)
Not only that the phones I actually wanted they don't have - Pah

My suggestion would be to research a few phones you like - check if they offer them on their website, check deals on somewhere like omio .com (where you can compare them too) and see if they're willing to barter with you
For someone who regularly spends £30 they'll prolly bend over backwards to keep you throwing dosh in their direction
Unlike scabby ole me who lobs pitiful amounts, rarely if ever spends more than her price plan and then has the audacity to demand a spanky phone for a pittance contract - heheehee

    Good luck :D

My contract is up for renewal at the end of the month and I really want a Blackberry Curve with unlimited internet and texts. At the moment I'm on Combi 30 with unlimited texts and 700 minutes and they are offering the same contract with unlimited internet and blackberries for £35 (including blackberry email booster). Only problem is that as my dad pays for the contract at the moment I can't upgrade it or liase with the rentetions department. They just wont talk to me as I'm only a subscriber. How easy is it to change the payment details on a contract i.e. put it in my name? Am I better off just taking out a brand new contract?

Has anyone managed to get a T mobile upgrade on a contract less than 24 months - I have been offered a great deal but would prefer 12 months
I have been a customer for 11 years and regularly spend £50 -80 a month on two lines

I've just been offered 300 cross network minutes plus unlimited texts, free nokia 6303 on a 24 month contract for £5 a month. As I'm not too fussed about what phone I have this seemed like a pretty good deal. Also saves cashback hassle. I only had a cheap 12 month contract before and was assured that my last months bill would still be ok for my redemption

Hope you dont mind me asking but how much were you paying before this? Did you have to haggle with that hard to get this deal?

Not sure which contract i have but im paying about £25 a month on mine and i get 700 mins, 400 texts for that. I would love something like what you have because i never actually use all my mins, most of the time i just try and make up the mins so i look like im getting the most for my money. :o

My contract isnt up for afew more months but i love to just keep my eye on this thread to see what everyone is getting =D x

Ps have been reading the last few pages and just wanted to ask how easy is it to get the unlimited tmobile calls offered to you? this would appeal to me. =D x
