  • Many thanks, spannerzone. I will try them to tomorrow and report back. I've seen some good deals at the Carphone Warehouse (plus they seem to have a better selection of phones) so I'll get some facts and figures together tonight.

Has anyone had any good deals recently to entice them into staying at T-mobile?

The wife's original full monty plan is due for renewal.
  • posted on another thread.. this may be better to help the community.

I got a deal a few weeks back.. £30.00 a month, no european roaming, but including 0800 calls included, 16gb ipone 5s, 5 GB allowance no cost for phone. Unlimited minutes and text.
  • Has anyone got anything decent out of retentions recently, my contract ends in a few months.
  • Has anyone got a 'retentions' deal for 64GB iPhone 6 from EE/T-mobile recently. I was surprised at the ease at which they were willing to let me go for the sake of £20. The offered £38.99 per month and one off payment of £120. I want it reduced to £100 but they wouldn't budge. I could get cheaper deal as a new customer with other networks. I struggle to understand how they were applying a loyalty discount. I had been with them for over 10 years.

no one will get any kind of deal on an iphone 6. this is a brand new handset and they don't have to offer any kind of incentive to sell them or the associated contracts. this has always been the case with the latest apple handset.

"loyalty" in terms of how long you have been a customer means nothing. why should it?

if you have a found cheaper deals elsewhere take one of them up, that's the most sensible option here.
  • Just adding todays experiance with T mobile retentions....

I need a new phone (HTC 1 MV screen has cracked for 2nd time in last 2 years), 750 mins, 100 or so texts and around 3gb of data a month - yes I know thats heavy useage, but its a work (self employed) phone. My contract is up with Tmobile next month, my current contract is a discounted one and I have unlimited everything for £28 a month and that included the HTC handset no upfront cost.

I read everything on here and then rang them, an hour later....

They have offered me either a S4 mini or a sony Z1 Compact (I want a smaller phone than the current standard HTC one size) for £27.99 a month with unlimited texts, mins and 4gb of data, no upfront cost.

I have been happy with them so far... but looking at some of the deals out there on other networks not totally happy with the price here :-( I need the T mobile network as it has the best coverage, and I need the mins and data for work, (mobile office and all that)

Piggybacking a virgin sim only would give me the mins and data for £15 a month for 12 months, but would a t-mobile phone work with a virgin sim? Any great prices on an unlocked S series mini?

I had exactly the same. Got a straightforward "No, we can't match it". They couldn't even agree to a deal on their own website. I've now got some serious thinking about whether it's worth paying the extra for 4g (which I will use a lot).
  • Hi there

I am still on the t-mobile Pay monthly 10 contract, and would like to stay on it as it is as cheap as chips, £5.93 a month for me for unlimited texts and data and 100 mins

Anyone else on it and renewed on it recently, what was the best free phone they offered you?

Just preparing myself for the renewal battle and keen to get recent experience from anyone else. I want to keep the contract and get the best free phone as possible.

    Cheers in advance

They said I will lose my loyalty discount if I want to stay on that tariff, pushing up fro £5 odd to £11 odd. Seems counter productive to me?? Especially If I leave
