  • Hi there.

I am really hoping someone will be able to help me.

I've been with O2 for over 10 years. Phoned to upgrade my phone which O2 said would be next day delivery. Waited all day today and made several calls to O2 to check the consignment number for DHL. Was promised everything would be ok. At 5.30pm no sign of phone so I called O2 again to be told that it was signed for at 5pm by someone else! Never heard of the person but O2 admit they didn't give the full address (they missed out the road name)! I explained that as this is their fault, they should send out a new phone (which is an iphone). The manager (who only wanted to communicate via a customer service agent ) refused and claims I now have to wait for O2 to sort out this dispute with DHL and cannot give me a date when this will be rectified! They admit it's their fault, but I am being penalised. I've tried calling O2 again, but was told the same thing. Also, the name of the person who signed for it was not me - can anyone sign for the phone or should it be the person receiving it who must sign? I have already taken today and tomorrow off and cannot receive personal stuff at work so I don't know what to do. I have already been charged nearly £200 for the phone. Phoned DHL and was told they cannot contact the driver who delivered the phone. With managers not wanting to talk to the customers, it's impossible to get anywhere. They are telling me to write to head office to complain.

  • Hello people, how ya's all doing?

I need some advice, I've been with o2 for roughly 6 years and due an upgrade on Monday. I'm coming to an end of an 18 month £35per month contract with a samsung tocco.

What is the best deal I can get; wanting a new iphone 3GS 32gb black, for 18 months and around £35 a month?

    Thanks in advance guys
  • Thanks KLID. I started off with the online approach, but their reply was to contact DHL to track the order...? Bizarre response, but when I phoned DHL they kept telling me that they need to contact the driver and that when they do, they'll phone me. Not sure how long to wait for that.

If the order was supposed to come to me, but was signed by someone else, isn't that a good enough reason to send me a new phone? Special deliveries need the recipient's signature no?

Have taken my PAC today, am heading to either 3 or T-Mobile which can offer an unlimited-internet SIM only deal for £15 - the cheapest O2 Simplicity offering unlimited data is £20, and it isn't as good as the £20 deal I am on at present.

Hopefully the 3 network will be OK :)
  • Still haven't had any luck getting O2 to move from £30 pm for an Aino, anyone had any luck? Im trying for £25 pm.

Well I tried playing with he Aino in an o2 shop.. can't say I was fussed with it.. but I'll help you out! :D

Are you trying to get this for 18 months or 24months? If it's 24, you should be able to haggle them down to £25 or £20. Vodafone (through CPW) have it on offer at £25 for 24months see here

If they don't play ball, still ask for your pac code and say you'll get it from the competitor, they'll send you the code and you have 30 days to act. You need to show them you do mean business :D
:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!
  • Upgraded to from XDA Ignito (HTC Touch Diamond) to HTC HD2 2 weeks ago.

Love the HD2 - its fantastic.

I just called O2, they said I could have it straightaway without any fuss.

I remain on my 1200 mins, 1000 texts and unlimited internet for £27 a month- 18 month contract

Any knowledge on trying to haggle with 02 for a free Sony-Ericsson Satio on an 18m contract for £15-20 per month? Only 300ish texts and less than 100 mins.
    Or am I completely bonkers?

I've seen it be offered for that for existing pay monthly customers, but I'm currently on payg, could I theoretically try playing the network providers off each other by basically phoning up Orange/T mobile etc and saying "I spend £25 a month on a tariff already, what can you do for me?"

    Good idea or not?
