you don't need spray. just bowl of hot water and bit of lemon juice does the trick, failing lemon juice, washing up liquid works with a bit more elbow grease. it's the steam effect of the water that loosens up the gunkWould like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. This works beautifully and leaves it nice and fresh smelling and avoids any chemicals. I used this method last week on a disgusting microwave at work.0 -

I am ashamed to say that the inside of my microwave is manky, and I have decided that enough is enough, and it HAS to be cleaned!!
What is the best way to clean it, and get the rid of the splattery bits that are crusted on, and the smell of fish from when the H2B heated up some paella thing?
In my cupboard I have soda crystals, stardrops, bicarb of soda and baking powder, but no lemon juice or white vinegar (need to go shopping!)
All advice gratefully recieved! :rolleyes:0
