This is the text of an appeal for info from my work - can anyone here offer any help? Thanks.
My son seriously burnt some microwavable popcorn in the microwave at the weekend. After much cleaning with conventional kitchen cleaning products it is still an orangey/yellow colour inside instead of white. It also smells horrible. Does anyone have any Kim & Aggie style tips for getting it back to its former colour and smell?
Thanks guys,

Hello hello,
What I use to clean my microwaive and it works no matter how stinky or grimy it is is boiling water and vinegar, take 1 largish pyrex bowl, fill with boiling water, with a good glug of white vinegar, switch microwaive on for 10 mins and cleaning it after the vinegar fumes have done the work should make it a doddle, and it should shift the smell for you too.

I tried the vinegar version once and my microwave stank of the stuff for a year afterwards! Lemon juice in water is great though - lemon fresh, mmm.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

Hi
I put in a small bowl of wate with some lemon juice in and turn on for a minute. This will get it all steamy and loosen the gunge so you can wipe it out. Might take a couple of goes if it's really stuck on though!0
