Hi everyone, just popping in, I see there are some old friends from the OS Daily in the group. I've frightened myself, as one of my lockdown task was to sort and list my stash! OMG, sillily I did it on a Excel, put down the weights, then did an autosum! Needless to say I've now banned myself from buying anymore. I'm doing a larger size cardigan for oldest Granddaughter (4j from a Deramores Kit I ordered when on special offer, this was the smaller one for the 20 month old. Don't use chunky much as a rule, but love the speed it grows, back Saturday evening, two sleeves yesterday. Hopefully the two fronts today. Hopefully the vertical stripes (sewn in) will take less time now I have done them once before. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?5 -
That looks lovely!
I'm a big fan of chunky yarns myself and I agree they do seem to suddenly grow from casting on

donny-gal, I love your cardi - it's so sweet and the pattern & colours work so well. I'm sure your Granddaughter will love it.

Lovely cardi but I'm sorry to say I don't like chunky yarn. I just find it difficult to knit, and too warm to wear. I think I could go back to 4 ply if I can get it. Will have to use up all my DK first and theirs quite a lot.

It's the perfect thing to knit when watching tv.I love mitred square blankets - I loathe having to sew things up !. I knit quite a few blankets for charity as they make ideal anti-stress/tv watching knitting. Though have started on a pair of sock as blankets get a bit hot to knit as the weather turns warmer. These are a couple of the blankets.Must admit I was so pleased with the brown striped one that it nearly didn't get to the charity

They are both lovely. Not sure I could have parted with the brown one. I will try a mitred blanket once I've finished my current one.2

Ooh I'd never heard of mitred square blankets. Thank you wonder collie. Definitely will have a go at that. Bit worried how I will know what ply all my odd balls are. Might have to do a tension square for each one, I suppose.
And like judexx, fear it may be the wrong time of year. But itching to give it a try so will start anyway.
Thank you1 -
Judexx - Those blankets are lovely, will definitely have to have a go at one.
Couldn't resist putting another pair of socks on the needles whilst doing dgs sampler (which truth be told I'm fed up with all the backstitch), its nearly finished now but have left it for a few days.
I have also decided which jumper I will knit top down, that I can order off revelry, but I will wait until I can get to a wool shop to buy the wool, as I like to be able to see the correct colour and softness of it,
Happy knitting, keep safe.

Nannygladys the sampler sounds lovely. I had a schoolfriend who had a sampler on her wall and I always wanted one myself. I was delighted when a friend sent one for my baby.
Savvy_Sue, love the flowers. I am planning to knit some for my Advent wreath (it will take me that long I suspect!). Maybe poinsettias.

I'm now knitting some socks for a friend, and they grow SO slowly ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
