I too have a big stash but needed some specific yarns for particular projects. I ordered from The Wool Warehouse, stocks seemed good, prices pretty competitive and my order took about 6 days to reach me.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back2

I've started a new project on my loom, 62 peg configuration and it's going to be a long scarf. I've got two yarn cakes that I've had for ages and could never decide what to do with. One is in right yarny mess as I've started things and it's just not been 'right' so frogged it numerous times. This seems right though so will carry on. Its a block colour cake on blues, greens, turquoise. I'm hoping to make it an extra long scarf so I may used one cake, then go for a skein or two in a block colour, maybe a cream or grey and then use the second cake for the other end, and possibly add some chunky tassles in the cream. It'll come out wider than most scarves. Only downside is I'm doing it in seed stitch which on a loom takes me a wee while.
But I'm opting for 10 rows a day to keep me going and motivated, and it'll probably live as a pick up put down WIP for a while as I interject other projects.

I've been knitting roses for a local peace rose project, any size, any colour, these are some odds and ends of wool I had.

And this is a peony: I knitted some for work a year or so ago because we used that name for one of activity strands and they were using them instead of name badges to identify staff. This one is in the same colours as the mohair cardigan I knitted - the rib is purple and the main body that red, which veers to purple as you go along. I may wear it as a brooch on the cardigan eventually, although not sure it's not a bit 'too much', but on Monday I shall wear it in my hair somehow because we are celebrating our 25th birthday with a virtual party!

I have found another pattern for a jumper which again claims to use only 150g wool so will be trying again!
Nannygladys the sampler sounds lovely. I had a schoolfriend who had a sampler on her wall and I always wanted one myself. I was delighted when a friend sent one for my baby.
Savvy_Sue, love the flowers. I am planning to knit some for my Advent wreath (it will take me that long I suspect!). Maybe poinsettias.1 -
i'm heeeerrrrreeee!!! I'm a lazy knitter who only knows the one garter stitch...lol. I lose interest in things very quickly. But I have found knitting to be very good at reducing stress so I'm beginning little scarves for xmas for the kids. It keeps me busy. I am taking a knitting class for beginners online so it's fun even tho I am currently ahead of the class (and think I will be until the very end). Gotta start somewhere, eh?3

I knit a shawl that called for 1200 metres in the specified yard but used 1400 of the yarn I substituted.
