Hi, I'm still here as well. I had to look back to my last post to remember what I was doing 😳. The stall I had early May was a disaster as far as knitting goes. I had 8 outfits and only sold one AND that was to a friend !!!

It was a success as far as advertising the small craft business I have just started. I gave out plenty flyers and have had a few orders. I have started making Memory Quilts - that's quilts made from baby's old baby grows and outfits. I love doing them and they're all so different. It's slowed down my knitting a bit 😳.
I have just started knitting my first Xmas present today - it's a shawl collared chunky jacket for dil. She's only a size 10 so should knit up quickly.

Nice to hear others are still busy as well, happy knitting xx

I am knitting a self designed cable hoodie for DGS who will be three at the end of the month.

I did not intend to design it myself but the pattern I bought is so bad they may as well have thrown random letters at the page. The size is way out is massive even on two sizes smaller needles, The cable patterns did not work at all. Every single line of the 24 line pattern was wrong. Even on the wrong side when you are not cabling. It had me cabling on every row not lining up properly either. It is impossible to get the wool to cable every row.

By the time I had resized it and rewritten the cable pattern I decided I could write a better cable pattern. I like my own design better.

Really annoyed I seem to have lost a pattern for a v neck jumper with raglan sleeves and V neck cardigan that does every size from 24 in chest to 44 in chest. I am going to have to buy it again. Annoying because it was perfect for sizing everything. I could write my own patterns for nearly everything from it.

I hope the shop still has it. If I don't find it before I go to town tomorrow or Saturday I will buy it again. I have used it with additional patterning on it for three jumpers for DGS and a cardigan for me.

Think I may be knitting for Christmas too soon. Want to take a few things to Malta with me in September.

Sorry I haven't been here much. I have been working too much and knitting very little. However I am trying my hand at knitting dish cloths (for washing dishes, not for wiping kitchen counters ). I used some scratchy acrylic I had in my stash but a friend told me I should be using 100% cotton. Upon investigation I found Lion brand makes kitchen cotton but it sounds super expensive at £3 for 50gr. I thought I might use kitchen twine, maybe mixed with one strand of acrylic. Has anyone tried knitting dish cloths? What do you use?

Not much knitting going on at the moment! I go to 2 knit and knatters a week and for the last month or so haven't picked up my projects other than then :o

I'm making a cardigan for myself, it is the newborn vatebrae but for adults! I was gifted some beautiful sirdar recycled wool and it is perfect! I managed 2 rows at the park today whilst supervising the little hinges before they started to bicker! It is top down all in one and I almost ready to divide for the sleeves.... currently have 250+stitches on the go

What lovely things are you all knitting? I have a chunky cable cushion to make next...... in beautiful sirdar denim that I also had gifted :D

HOWMUCH grandaughter due soon, if she has not arrived, and I expect the others are not knitting so much in summer.

I finished the cable jacket will try a photo when I get the toggles on. A bit expensive toggles but think they will go well with it. They cost more than the jacket.

Tried a different website called Love Kitting. Liked the yarn so much have started making myself a jumper. I had to rebuy the pattern I mentioned. Using the pattern for sizing and making it with mock cable.

Hi everyone, I'm just back from my holiday to visit Peppa Pig World and Legoland with my dil and three grandchildren. I did not take my knitting with me which was just as well as I never had a minute and was so exhausted each evening that I could not have knitted to save myself 😄😄. This is when you realise you're getting older.
Definitely don't have the stamina I used to have. Anyway, just before my holiday I finished knitting my first Xmas present - a jacket type cardigan for dil. Here's a link to my Pinterest photo

I am now knitting a chunky waistcoat for myself. It is in a navy flecked cashmere yarn I bought from eBay several years ago.

    Happy knitting everyone xx

Thanks Mary, what are you knitting now?
I have not been knitting as much recently partly due to the season 😀 when the garden needs looking after and I have also been doing more quilting recently. But I must get on with my knitting as I've got a lot of knitting to do for Xmas.

    Happy knitting xx

I'm knitting a frontless cardi for me Plum! it is top down all in one and each row seems to take forever! I'm down to 4 hrs knitting a week though so I expect it will be a long time until it's finished!

I also have missy H's aran cable cardi to finish.... 1 sleeve and button bands to do but i've fallen out with it :rotfl:
