I am already a member and have knitted many a pattern from there both free and paid for. It's a great web site

I have found plenty of blanket patterns on there but the more I look, the more the choice, the more confused I get. So I was just wondering if people would share their favourites.

  • Hi! :hello:

I'm in the late stages of a bright red baby knit with the oddest yarn. It says 'Robin 4 ply' on the band, but it's no way 4 ply and isn't DK either. It knits up as half way in between, so I'm using size 9 and 11 needles and treating as a sort of 6 ply. Following a 4 ply pattern on the 3rd size and using the 4th size length measurements. It's my first pattern adaptation and it's going well.

I'll post photos of this and my other recent baby finish (which I also embroidered), if you'd like.

Away for a few days, brought knitting but ignored it in favour of a good book!

Love that cable blanket Mrs H, thanks for posting it.

Elizabeth, look forward to pics please.

Ladies who bought sets of the bamboo needles from flea bay, what length did you get? Think I would need some of short and long........ Ponders!

Hi, my needles are 34cm long. I don't tuck them under my arm - they wag all over the place whilst I'm knitting :rotfl:

I've just finished a white matinee jacket with matching bonnet and bootees. Tonight I'm using up odd wool by knitting a couple of hats.

    Happy knitting xx

    Beautiful work Elizabeth!

Maddie I usually use circular needles these days and the longer the better :o so really not much help to you!

Lots of knattering at my group this morning but very little knitting :o My wrists and shoulders are "off" the aching was enough to keep me awake alot lastnight :(

I finished my romper suit on friday and cast on this: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/much-loved-cardigan for Missy H!

The wool stash is slowly but surely decreasing! I think maybe by christmas I shall of used it all :rotfl::rotfl:

Dreaded DLA renewal forms for Missy H arrived in the post today :( that'll need to take priority for a while

  • Sorry to hear you're in pain, Mary! :( I've had a pulled muscle in my side from coughing - then I got another cold!

I've also been using up my yarn stash, although there really wasn't much. Hoping to do another baby knit soon in a sort of knitted patchwork to use up the odds and ends I still have. What remains then will get used in stitch learning and sampling. :p
