Hi, I thought I'd join in too if that's OK. I've rediscovered my love of knitting and been having a great time snuggled up on the sofa with my 2 dogs, ball of yarn and knitting needles! Recently I've had a go at colourwork and done a hat, a poncho (wearing now - so snuggly), a cardigan and a short sleeved jumper. Doing something completely now as having a go at my first pair of socks. Going good so far but teeny yarn and needles after doing the jumper in bulky!
I look forward to getting to know you all.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Morning all,
My arms and wrists are screaming at me after my knit-athon yesterday so no knitting today.
Im going to try and match the wool I have for projects I've seen on Ravelry/Pinterest. It may feel less daunting if I know what I want to do with it all
Whats everyone else working on?

Loads of lovely sounding projects going on.
As mentioned above
I've got a knitted beard on one set of needles, I'm doing a few as props for a school play and a little pullover I started for DGS on another set.
I'm knitting little hats for scbu I between other projects and trying to use my vast wool stash up.
I did put the elastic on one beard this morning and am hoping to get what they need done over half term so they can go out of the way.SPC~12 ot 124

Would love ideas for using up wool stash - 3 full carrier bag fulls!! - If only I could crochet I would love to be doing granny squares for blankets but alas its hats for shoeboxes. What do the rest of you do ?
(I have tried youtube tutorials for crocheting but just cant seem to hold wool/needle correctly. Too many years spent knitting me thinks :A0 -
Bobs if you have baby wool it's worth asking your local maternity hospital if they need anything. Mine want hats and little knitted triangles new mums pop in their bras then put in incubator with babe to transfer mums scent to help bonding.
Or instant smoothie hats are another quick little knit to use up odds and ends.
You could knit squares to make into a blanket once you have enough.
Btw I'm left handed and you don't even want to see how I hold knitting needles, I've been told by mil I crochet the wrong way round as I do my work back to front and work the wrong way round the circles or squares, but they look fine when I'm finished so I'm happy. Don't let people put you off if you want to try something.SPC~12 ot 124

Can you go along to any local stitch and b*tch groups BOBS, often having someone showing you can help make it easier!
