:j I've finished the wild vanilla baby cardigan I started last night!! I love it so much I plan to do some more in the next few sizes up!
I have some of the wool left and think I can make a hat or a chunky headband to match, now to find a newborn to gift them too :rotfl:Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

Need to still down and finish off my pattern/yarn pairing too but houseowrk and food shopping seam to be getting in the way
How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone, I started another pair of fingerless gloves and will hopefully finish them tonight. They're for my sisters birthday next week. I gave her black ones at Xmas and she loves them for driving. So I'm knitting her a gray pair to put in with her present.
Like you Mary, I've started going through my wool stash and making a list of all the wool I've got. Hoping that by doing this I will not be tempted to buy any more wool. There are 2 craft exhibitions near me in the next 3 weeks and another one a month later. I may buy some quilting material and must STOP myself from buying wool.
I found 250g of chunky wool in a lovely mulberry shade ( a leftover from a jacket I knitted myself a few years ago). Not enough to knit granddaughter a cardigan so I searched the Internet and found a nice cabled waistcoat pattern. I have ordered it and can't wait till I start it.
I think I will have to go through and sort my knitting patterns as well.

I've knitted a newborn hat tonight with the last of the hand dyed semi-solid purple to match the cardigan and the head band I made.
I have rather alot of 100% merino pure wool thats kettled dyed and beautiful BUT it really isnt practical and Mr H has already felted 2 of the items I have made by putting them in the washing machineSo plan A) make them and felt them on purpose or
try to sell them
The Superwash wool I have a list of 18 items to turn them in to  but first the yellow cable blanket needs finishing!

Does anyone else go through stages where they prefer knitting over crocheting then it's the opposite? always when I have loads of crocheting to do all I want to do it knit :rotfl:

plumduff55 wrote: »Hi everyone, I have been de-cluttering under stair cupboard and found some wool I had stashed there a couple of years ago as it was all small amounts and not enough to do full size garments. I'm going to list it below and I'm not going to knit anything else till its knitted. I have spent an hour going through patterns to find things I could knit so here goes:
Filati da Collezione 300g in fawn/pink
This is lovely chunky yarn and I'm going to knit a cable scarf for dil for xmas. I have already knitted her fingerless gloves and a hat in this so that will complete the set. She loves the hat and gloves.
Paton's Spritz Aran 200g in a champagne colour.
I'm going to knit a lacy scarf and fingerless gloves for a xmas present. Several years ago everyone got these in different colours as xmas presents but not the gloves. 200g will be enough yarn to knit both.
Sirdar Denim Sport Aran 230g in lilac/purple
I'm going to knit grandson a shaw collar jumper for xmas. He will be 18 months old then.
Twinkle DK 60g in black with silver thread
This will be another pair of fingerless gloves for a Xmas present. I gave a few of these as presents this year and they were well received as good when texting.
Teddy Soft as Silk DK 200g in lemon.
This is a really soft yarn so going to knit a baby girl gift set to put by for next wee girl to be born.
Well, that's my list and I've written it here so that I'm not tempted to knit something not on the list. First knit is going to be the jumper for grandson's Xmas.
This afternoon I'm going to sew up the jumper for granddaughter that I finished last night. The pattern is from a magazine, it has moss stitch borders and a heart on the front. It's really nice knitted in pink Patons Smoothie. I don't often knit with 100% acrylic but I've done a few kids things with this and it washes great.
Phew ..... What a length of a post.
Happy knitting xx
I was at a craft exhibition on Saturday and as they did not have any stalls selling wool I was not tempted to buy any :rotfl:
I could not find a 4.5mm bamboo needle, couldn't understand where it was and then I found it wedged at the back of the drawer and snapped in half . So tomorrow I'm going to a nearby town with several charity shops to see if I can find one. Also looking for some buttons for recent knits I've finished.
I've just started a chunky cabled waistcoat for dgd, its size 22"
( James Brett jb048) so knitting up really quickly. I hope it's as nice when finished as it looks on the pattern.
