Did anyone see the two hats that were on This Morning today? They were christmas cloche hats and looked great!

I wondered if anyone might have seen the knitting pattern for them anywhere?

    morning all

hope everyone is well, sounds like we are all busy.

i finished my 'christmas' jumper over the weekend. thank you to the person who suggested putting a band of rib around the armholes and setting the sleeves in, thats what ive done and it looks great (like the sleeves are meant to be contrasting)

'Twas me, I believe. :) Just think a 'mock' layered look appears better than 'desperate stripes' - dead giveaway that we've run out of yarn! :rotfl:

Excellent sweater - very sporty. now we just need a pic of you wearing it... n skiing down a big hill! :T

I've recently 'picked up the needles again' and I'm currently half-way through an Aran Sweater for my 5yr old dgs - in Navy Blue as requested by his mother !

Never again will I use navy bluenono.gif- all that work going into the pattern and it barely shows up due to the colour :(. Had I been left to choose, it would have been traditional cream OR khaki/olive green .....................

Have also just finished four pairs of crocheted 'fingerless gloves' for sisters and their OH's.

Oh yes, I can totally relate to the navy blue aran thing :(
Currently working on some black socks for OH, never again, he wants hand knitted socks, he's going to have to get used to grey..
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Does anyone know where i can get a decent giraffe knitting pattern from?

I want a realistic one, not a basic child like one.
  • Try alan dart's website his patterns are very good. I don't now if he's done a giraffe but he has one loads of animals.

You might find one on Ravelry or search Google Images > knitting giraffe chart < Shame, I think it was on Rav that I saw a sweater with a giraffe peeping around the front, from the side seam!

There's one HERE (it's a large collection of free Christmas gifty-type patterns from around the internet). It has a good realistic giraffe shape, but perhaps the legs are a bit too thick?
Realistic giraffe knitting patterns are always hard to find and the best looking ones seem to be actually crochet patterns!
